Updated with correction in lawyer’s statement: A producer on Shudder’s Queer for Fear series has sued the streaming service, AMC Networks and executive producer Bryan Fuller for sexual harassment, a hostile work environment and retaliation. In response, a new suit for defamation and malicious prosecution could be coming soon, an attorney for Fuller says.
“Defendant Bryan Fuller cultivated and maintained a hostile work environment as a result of harassment, discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault and retaliation from the years 2020 to 2022,” alleges Sam Wineman in a graphic and explicit filing that hit the Los Angeles Superior Court docket yesterday.
“Mr. Fuller sexually assaulted plaintiff several times throughout the Steakhaus Production of Queer for Fear for AMC defendants and their streaming service Shudder,” Wineman and his Good Gustafson Aumais Llp and Atkins & Associates lawyers add in the September 28 dated complaint, which is seeking a jury trial.

Welcome to The Daily Stream, an ongoing series in which the /Film team shares what they've been watching, why it's worth checking out, and where you can stream it.
The Movie: "Queer for Fear: The History of Queer Horror"
Where You Can Stream It: Shudder and AMC+
The Pitch: Shudder's four-episode docuseries tells the story of queer horror in cinema. It's not just a history lesson, though — it's also wildly entertaining, spicing up its talking-head style cultural commentary with deep-cut archival footage, illustrated readings of historical documents, and a fabulously catchy soundtrack from frequent RuPaul collaborator ShyBoy. It's also the only documentary out there inspired enough to cultivate a wide-ranging conversation that includes "Hannibal" creator Bryan Fuller (who executive produced), gay icon Jennifer Tilly, famed monster actor Doug Jones, author Carmen Maria Machado, roughly a third of the cast of "Yellowjackets," a blood-soaked Alaska Thunderf*** 5000, and /Film's own B.J. Colangelo,...

Florence and the Machine will release a new LP, Dance Fever, on May 13 via Republic Records. The band has shared the album’s third single, “My Love,” along with an ornate music video directed by Autumn de Wilde and choreographed by Ryan Heffington.
Dance Fever — produced by Florence Welch, Jack Antonoff, and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals — was recorded in London over the course of the pandemic. The songs evoke what Welch “missed most during lockdown—clubs, dancing at festivals, being in the whirl of movement, and togetherness,” according to a release.
