"It's always been Matthew, for good reason," the 47-year-old actor explained. "I was in kindergarten -- my mom's a kindergarten teacher -- my buddy, John Griffith, says, 'Hey, Matt! Wanna go play out on the monkey bars?' I ran out and say, 'Yeah.' And all of a sudden I feel this hand on my shoulder."
That hand was his mother!
"She goes, 'Don't you ever answer to Matt again. I named you Matthew from the Bible,'" he shared. "So if anyone calls me Matt today... Mom, could be there, in any corner."

O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we'll soon see the dead rise in Casey Walker's Little Bit Zombie.
Confused? It's just a little bit of news about the next project from Canada featuring the undead: Little Bit Zombie starring Crystal Lowe ("Smallville"), Kristopher Turner ("Instant Star"; pictured right), and Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife), in which Turner plays a company exec who becomes infected by a virus during a bachelor party, forced to avoid an obsessed zombie hunter and his Bridezilla-to-be (Lowe).
Per The Hollywood Reporter the indie genre film from Cave Painting Pictures, to shoot in June in Sudbury, Ontario, will also star Kristen Hager ("Being Human" Us), Stephen McHattie (Pontypool, Immortals), and Neil Whitely (Red, Repo Men). Christopher Bond and Trevor Martin wrote the film’s script while director Walker shares a producer credit with John Griffith.

When animated superheros collide, it can be a pretty cool thing. So too thought 3D animator and graphic designer John Griffith who terrifically put together the following piece as part of a contest for artists to create a Marvel motion comic. Griffith's entry The Strongest - based on the Jeph Loeb & Ed McGuinnes comic "Puny Little Man" - won the contest, and now here it is embedded below for your viewing pleasure! Thanks to "Peter M. Smith" for the heads up!...
