Florian Herzog is a Swiss screenwriter, director and producer who has already produced four films. Herzog got his start in the industry with his short film "The Last Case", for which production began in early 2021. His first work is a 4 minute film noir thriller. Herzog was thus able to put his theoretical knowledge into practice for the first time with its production.
The first work premiered in August 2021, and Herzog began pre-production on his second work immediately afterwards: a 17-minute drama entitled Every Rose Has Its Thorn. Another important milestone for Herzog, the production of his second film increased the production effort to a new level compared to his first work. During the production, more problems occurred, mainly due to the very low budget of the production debt. However, it still brought valuable experience that will be crucial for Herzog's future works.
After completing his second work and after it premiered at the Kiwi Kino Winterthur in December 2021, Herzog went straight on with the production of his third film "No Turning Back", a short three-minute experimental film.
After its completion, Herzog wanted to test his newly acquired knowledge and started planning his first real film, which had a decent budget. Pre-production began on his fourth and largest work to date, Heavy Lies the Crown. The dark reinterpretation of Goethe's classic "Faust" was first put to paper in September 2021. The film spent a full year in its Pre Production until finally starting production with shooting in October 2022.
