Jarrid Wilson(1988-2019)
Jarrid Wilson was an associate pastor who worked with Senior Pastor Greg Laurie at a megachurch called Harvest Christian Fellowship in California. After Jarrid's untimely death at age 30, he was survived by his wife and two children. During his life, Jarrid's struggles with severe depression led him to reach out to help others who suffered similarly. Together, he and his wife Juli founded a Christian nonprofit organization called Anthem of Hope, which aims to uplift those who battle depression, anxiety, and self-destructive tendencies. Jarrid authored four books and an online blog. The books he wrote are titled "Jesus Swagger: Break Free from Poser Christianity," "Love Is Oxygen: How God Can Give You Life and Change Your World," "30 Words: A Devotional for the Rest of Us," and "Wondrous Pursuit: Daily Encounters with an Almighty God." Jarrid was an avid mental health advocate, loved Jesus, and cared very much about helping others. Tragically, his own mental health struggles eventually led him to take his own life.
