- Music Department
Andrea Ferrero is a guitar player born in Caracas, Venezuela, currently living in Los Angeles, CA. From a very young age, Andrea became a very well-known guitarist in her country Venezuela for being a very talented guitar player who at a young age created a huge impact on the music scene in her country.
Andrea's passion for music was there her whole life, but it wasn't until she turned 10 years old that her parents, after noticing her interest in guitars, gave her one as a Christmas gift. She immediately started taking lessons, and a few months after, she started playing at the catholic church that she used to attend every Sunday.
She generated a big love for music which made her progress so fast. Everybody was so impressed every time they saw this 10-year-old kid playing so well.
When she was 14 years old, she started to study music more professionally. She began to attend a great jazz music school in her hometown Caracas. Andrea was the youngest student there. Being at this school really expanded her knowledge and it also gave her the opportunity of getting to know a lot of high-level musicians, and this way, she would also learn from them. At the age of 15, she was already playing on these huge stages and traveling all around the country with some of the most famous artists from Venezuela.
From the very beginning, Andrea always knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to music, and she always dreamed about attending one of the best music schools in the world: Berklee College of Music. She found this dream very hard to fulfill due to the situation her country Venezuela is going through. She didn't have enough money to study at Berklee. Still, Andrea never thought this was impossible, so after months of practicing, studying, composing an original piece, and learning English, she had an online audition.
A few months later, she received an acceptance letter and a scholarship letter saying that she had been accepted with a full-tuition scholarship. She started her new experience at Berklee College of Music in January 2018 and years later she got her degree with a major in Contemporary Writing and Production.
Andrea lives now in Los Angeles, California and she has been playing with many amazing musicians and artists, as well as working as a Music Consultant for Netflix at the film company "Happy Madison Productions" whose owner is the famous actor: Adam Sandler. Andrea is planning on releasing some more of her original music after people kept asking for more upon listening to her first release "Mr. Charles", a song inspired by her melancholic feelings after leaving Boston to start a new life in LA.
Andrea wants to leave her mark in the world, making a difference in the music industry and representing female musicians from all over the world.
