After finding unprecedented success in the film world, Jordan Peele isn’t forgetting about the medium that gave him his start. The “Get Out” writer-director — and “Key & Peele” co-creator — has just set a deal to produce “Lovecraft Country,” a new HBO drama given a straight-to-series order by the premium cable giant.
Peele and his production company, Monkeypaw Productions, are joining J.J. Abrams’ “Bad Robot” and Warner Bros. Television to bring Matt Rush’s 2016 novel to the small screen. Peele, Abrams, Ben Stephenson (“The Fall”), and Misha Green will all be executive producers on the series, and Green will also serve as showrunner.

Tammy and Brian Bossard almost lost their 23-month-old daughter late Friday night when their family boat hit a power line and flipped over on Florida's Indian River. But thanks to the persistent, brave actions of the Cocoa Beach, Florida, police department, Kennedy - who was found tucked inside an air pocket under the vessel - is safe and back with her parents and 7-month-old sister, Charlotte. "This was truly a miracle," Tammy tells People. "It's just unreal, it's every parents worst nightmare to think that you could lose your child, and this was so real it was a nightmare come to life.

Alec Mapa and friends on the Allure of the Seas
Alec Mapa, everyone's favorite Gaysian sweetheart, is a bundle of contractions. His standup is about as raunchy and personal as you can imagine, with graphic jokes about his sex life and even bathroom habits. But he's also a great dad. As we met aboard the Atlantis Events cruise to talk about fatherhood, comedy, and Ugly Betty, he showed up holding a MacBook at an awkward angle, trying to use the ship's flaky WiFi to video conference with his son about his behavior at school.
AfterElton: We are on the Allure, and we are talking to Alec Mapa, who was kind enough to get out of bed early to talk to us.
Alec Mapa: I know – it's miraculous.
Ae: We're huge fans at AfterElton. We haven't seen a lot of you on TV since Ugly Betty, but that was such an iconic role.

Is that a Marc Jacobs manskirt?
Here at Twitterwatch, it's our job to admire celebrities - you didn't think we did this for free, did you? But it turns out that some of them like each other just as much as we do. So sometimes stars aren't looking at themselves in the mirror, they're looking at head shots of other actors.
One of the things that makes Chris Colfer so likable is his genuine wonder and starstruck nature. And he got to open the Emmy Awards with Jon Hamm, Betty White and Tina Fey - so he was understandably excited.
As much as he admires Betty, Tina, Jane and Ryan, he's an Emmy nominee himself, and a fellow California farm boy Christopher Gorham wants to make sure he remembers he's awesome too.
I wasn't quite sure what inspired this bicoastal admiration society, but when Scott Evans talks adorable, I think...
