Since 1991 member of the Greifswald fraternity Rugia (DB!), (now alumni association); since 1998 member of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland (since 2008 supporting member); 2001 to 2016 member of the administrative board of the Bund der Steuerzahler in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (last position: deputy chairman of the administrative board, resignation due to MdL activity); 2000 to 2001 member of the Partei Rechtsstaatlicher Offensive (SCHILL party), member of the state board (responsible for legal and security policy).
