Chris Jorie is Directing the upcoming romantic comedy, The Book Writer, Lenz Productions, 2024-25, and also stars in the feature drama, Death to Pushkin for Jump Room Films 2024-25. On stage he starred in the World Premieres of Dennis McIntyre's, Modigliani, and David Lemos's, Remember My Name. An actor, writer, director and producer, Chris works with Academy and Emmy Nominated Actress/Producer, Mary McDonnell - Critic's Choice Nominee 2024 for Netflix's, The Fall of The House of Usher. He has also worked with Academy Award Nominees, Robert Downey Jr, True Believer; Oscar Nominee, Ryan Gosling, MMC - Emmy and Golden Globe Nominee, Keri Russell, MMC - Producer, Susan Feiles, Perry Mason; Director Kent Ortega, Pamela Fryman and Allison Liddi Brown - as well as Sarah Silverman, Kristin Stewart, Leonardo DiCaprio, Judy Dench, Clint Eastwood, Justin Timberlake, Jon Hamm, Tony Danza, Tim Daly, Robert Guilluame, Garry Marshall, Laura San Giacomo, Laurie Metcalf, and George C Scott. As an award winning Stage Director, Chris has directed plays Off-Broadway as well as numerous regional premieres direct from their Broadway and Off Broadway runs. Best Production Awards include Boston's 'Ellie Award' for Athol Fugard's, Exits and Entrances; Central Florida's 'Lillie Stoates Award' for Margret Edson's, Wit; and recognition from the Drama League, NY in their New Directors/New Works Program for his original plays, I Touch The Future and The Real Me. Additional Awards include The George Heller scholarship from Aftra and as the first Revels/Cambridge Directing Fellow. A Nationally recognized Acting Coach, Chris has worked on productions for Warner Bros, Paramount, Disney, Buena Vista TV, CBS, ABC and PBS. He's a proud member of Sag/Aftra, The Dramatists Guild, and Stage Directors/Choreographers.
