Not only are the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four older, but some fans believe they aren’t the right choice.

The Fantastic Four are called Marvel’s First Family because, well, they actually are. Back in 1961, the company formerly known as Timely Comics transitioned into Marvel Comics. They kept some of their titles, such as Journey Into Mystery, but began a new approach to superhero comics with The Fantastic Four. These new titles would show the internal drama between the characters and not just their superheroics. After these characters became a big hit, the company created other heroes such as The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, and Iron Man.
Fox would end up with the movie rights to bring these characters to the big screen but ultimately would produce content that really didn’t live up to what the comics promised. After four attempts (ironic), the rights have finally reverted back to Marvel Studios through Disney’s purchase of Twentieth Century Studios. Now that the MCU is around, fans are interested in...

As Marvel Studios attempts to recover from a series of underperformances, the company hopes to recapture fans with some returning favorites like the revival of Daredevil, as well as Jon Bernthal’s incarnation of The Punisher. And one of the most-anticipated films to come out this year will be the Ryan Reynolds-Hugh Jackman frenemy team-up in Deadpool & Wolverine. As Marvel Studios reclaim certain film properties like the X-Men as they did long ago with Spider-Man, fans are hoping for a thrilling and faithful adaptation of Marvel’s first family in The Fantastic Four.

When the Silver Surfer makes his debut in the MCU, he will now be a she.
Only a few hours after winning its proxy battle against Nelson Peltz, it’s been confirmed that the MCU version of the Silver Surfer will not be Norrin Radd, but rather his lover Shalla-Bal, empress of Zenn-La.
The female Silver Surfer will be played by Julia Garner of Ozark fame.
In the comics, Norrin Radd becomes the herald of Galactus to save his love and his homeworld from being devoured by the world eater.
Disney likely knew this would be a very unpopular decision among Marvel Comics fans, as the Surfer is a beloved character who has starred in his own animated series, a movie, and even video games. That could factor into why they waited to drop the news until after the proxy battle was over, as the rest of the Fantastic Four cast has already been announced.

The Silver Surfer is finally coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character is set to appear in "The Fantastic Four," which is set to hit theaters next summer and will be directed by Matt Shakman ("WandaVision"). Now, we have confirmation that Julia Garner ("Ozark") will bring the beloved character to life. So yes, this will be a female take on the cosmic comic book favorite.
According to Deadline, Garner will play Silver Surfer in the film, which is expected to begin production in the coming weeks. In an interesting twist, the actress is said to be playing a version of the Marvel Comics character Shalla-Bal, who is heavily tied to Norrin Rad, the alter-ego of the man who is most associated with Silver Surfer in the pages of the comics. As for how Shakman and the filmmakers will go about changing things up remains to be seen, as plot...

Fantastic Four has found its Silver Surfer. Julia Garner will play a version the classic character, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
WandaVision director Matt Shakman is directing the feature, which stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The film has a release date of July 25, 2025, and is rumored to take place in the 1960s, the era in which writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby first introduced the Fantastic Four, the super team that launched the Marvel Universe in comics. The Silver Surfer was introduced in in Fantastic Four No. 48 as the herald of Galactus, a planet-eating entity, though that version of the Surfer was an alien astronomer known as Norrin Radd.

Rumors: Doctor Doom Set To Appear in ‘Fantastic Four’ in a Small Role Setting up Future Installments
Yesterday, exciting news surfaced about the upcoming film “Fantastic Four.” The official release date for this highly anticipated Marvel movie is July 25, 2025. Fans have been buzzing with speculation for months, and now we have confirmation on the main cast.
Pedro Pascal will take on the role of Reed Richards (also known as Mister Fantastic), a character accidentally confirmed by SAG-AFTRA last week. Vanessa Kirby will portray Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, which aligns with previous rumors. Completing the first family, we have Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing and Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch.
Filming is set to commence this summer. Interestingly, due to a release date switch, another Marvel film, “Thunderbolts,” lost its spot in July 2025 and will now hit theaters earlier than expected on May 2, 2025.
While the core cast is now confirmed, there’s been no word yet on the potential appearance of Doctor Doom, a villain...
