Crew crosses 80 crores in three weeks. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
After being in theatres for three weeks, Crew has hit the 80 crores mark. The film collected around 10 crores more in the week gone by and that too when there was mighty competition in the form of Eid releases Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan. Still, audiences continued to be interested in the all-women story, hence resulting in consistent footfalls.
The drop from the second week of 22.93 crores is also reasonable and rest assured, there would be much better stability this week. In fact it should only be in around 50% range because the shows have also been increased for the Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor production. Chances are good that the film will now make a dash towards 90 crores mark. It would have seemed difficult after the first week, which was good, had closed at 47.54 crores instead of scoring a half century there and then.

The fanbase for Karyn Kusama‘s 2009 horror movie Jennifer’s Body has grown a whole lot in recent years, with many reevaluating the film and realizing it’s got more going for it than it was given credit for back when it first came out. Megan Fox stars as Jennifer in the film, a newly possessed high school cheerleader who specializes in killing her male classmates, and now 15 years later it’s being viewed as a feminist revenge movie that was ahead of its time.
Jennifer’s Body writer Diablo Cody is back on the horror scene with the brand new movie Lisa Frankenstein this year – directed by Zelda Williams and releasing in theaters on February 9 – and Cody paid a visit to Bloody Disgusting’s Boo Crew Podcast this week to chat about the film.

Fitting of the man who made “Faces Places,” a road trip movie alongside French New Wave icon Agnès Varda, to be chatting it up with Alfonso Cuarón, another highly regarded international filmmaker, before an interview with IndieWire at 50th Telluride Film Festival.
Seated at a coffee shop across the street from the theater currently screening his new film “Tehachapi,” one that just so happens to have one of his signature installation — a blown-up black and white photo of Varda and her hands peeking over the rooftop — staring back at him, artist and documentarian Jr can’t help but have his late friend on his mind.
“I feel she’s still with me. I feel like she prepared me for quite a journey and she took the time, those years that she taught me so much, and I knew at that time I could not process everything, but thank God it’s processing now,...

Joanna Gaines is spending her holiday season recovering. The 44-year-old Magnolia Network star and mother of five took to Instagram early Thursday morning to share some recent health struggles.
Posting a photo of herself in shades and a hospital gown, Joanna is seen lying in a hospital bed and holding up a peace sign.
In the caption, she explained that she’s suffered from a longterm back injury since she was a cheerleader in high school.
Noting that she had her first microdiscectomy in 2001, which forced her to cancel her second date with now-husband Chip Gaines, Joanna revealed she “had the same procedure on another disc two weeks ago.”
A microdiscectomy is a surgical procedure that helps relieve pain for a herniated disc in the spine.
Despite the health setback, Joanna is finding the positives in her situation.
