In 1997, Disney released its animated film Hercules, which became a major hit globally. It earned an amazing $252.7 million on an $85 million budget, which was an exceptional amount of money back then, and it made history as one of Disney’s most beloved animated features. The original movie featured the voice talents of Tate Donovan (as Hercules), Danny DeVito (as Philoctetes), James Woods (as Hades), and Susan Egan (as Megara), some of who reprised their roles in the sequel animated series and the animated prequel. But, with Disney doing its series of live-action remakes of its animated classics, we know that Hercules is also being remade, and some recent rumors suggest that we have a chief candidate for the role of Megara!
These rumors come from Skyler Shuler, a well-known Disney insider, who has taken the time to answer some of the fans’ questions, one of which also had to do...

Now, Disney wants to recreate the same success, as it wants to retell the legendary tale by showcasing an authentic version of the legendary figure. Disney Executives want the casting to be perfect and it is believed by an industry insider that Dua Lipa would be a great fit for the role of Megara/Meg.
However, fans of the film believe another pop star would be a better choice for the role as they collectively share their opinion on social media.

Following persistent rumors, we got word that Disney was officially moving forward with a live-action remake of Hercules back in 2022, with Aladdin director Guy Ritchie set to helm the project and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo on board as producers.
Updates have been few and far between since then, and we're still waiting to find out which actors are going to bring life to the main characters.
Previous rumors have claimed that Taron Edgerton and Ariana Grande were up for the roles of Hercules and Meg, and while there's every chance they will end up being cast, we may be able to add another name to the mix for the movie's female lead.
According to reliable Disney source the DisInsider, pop megastar turned actress Dua Lipa might be a contender to play Meg. He doesn't say whether she's actually in talks, only that the studio "likes" her for the part.

The damsel in distress narrative device is a foundational storytelling element for the majority of people. Fairytales tell of princesses in peril and video games hide princesses in another castle. These women are treated as prizes to be won, a congratulatory gift to the men who saved these supposedly weak and helpless ladies who would have certainly perished without a man's intervention. Damsel in distress tropes date back to the ancient Greeks but the misogynistic belief that women are fragile creatures who need men to protect them is unfortunately still an intrinsically held value system for a shocking number of people. It's the grandmother of tropes like "fridging" as seen in media and literature, or more insidiously, "missing white woman syndrome" in real-life situations of women in harm's way.
Fortunately, plenty of alternative damsel characters exist to switch up the narrative. Megara in Disney's "Hercules" flipped the typical animated princess...

Hollywood heartthrob Bradley Cooper is currently dating Gigi Hadid. Despite being linked to many women, 2011’s People magazine‘s Sexiest Man Alive insists he’s far from being a ladies’ man. The actor first got married to actress Jennifer Esposito in 2006. But their romance didn’t last long and they divorced four months later.
Cooper then went on to date Renée Zellweger, his co-star Zoe Saldaña, model-actress Suki Waterhouse, and Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, with whom he has a daughter named Lea de Seine.
Since parting ways with Shayk in 2019, the Maestro star has reportedly been seeing Huma Abedin. While Cooper has been often linked to high-profile celebrities, he’s especially grateful for the daughter he shares with one of his previous partners.

What does it mean to be a Disney Princess? This could be a question regarding corporate decisions, as the Walt Disney Company has a specific classification for their "Princess Line" media franchise and toy line, but it's also a bit existential. Does a character have to be canonically royal to be considered a Disney Princess, or are they something else entirely? As it turns out — there are rules to be considered an official Princess, with Disney currently recognizing 13 characters with the distinction. She must play a central role, cannot be introduced in a sequel, must be royal by birth or marriage (or perform a heroic deed), must be human/human-appearing, and the film can't be a flop or unbelievable hit.
Elsa and Anna are both so popular that they are not lumped in together with the Princesses, and heroine figures like Alice (of Wonderland...

Disney movies are always a return to our childhood, aren’t they? No matter if we’re 19, 25, or 53. We laugh, cry, and reminisce about our youth or days spent at home with snacks in front of the TV. Although I generally like discussing Disney, this list will be slightly different. First, we will have a look at Disney’s underdogs and sidekicks. The characters are often forgotten, neglected, or don’t receive as much attention as the heroes and heroines of the movies. But they deserve so much more. Megara from “Hercules” The fact that Megara is attractive is the

"Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" premieres on Roku today, and it's a wild ride. Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, stars as the titular song parody master in the story about his life ... kind of. Like how Yankovic's "Eat It" is a parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It," it's a parody of his rise to fame. Through the film, we chart the life of Yankovic, a young man whose parents want him to be pretty much anything but who he really is. When he gets an accordion, it changes everything. He becomes a rock star and starts dating Madonna, played by Evan Rachel Wood.
This isn't the Madonna we are familiar with, however. In the world of the film, Madonna is normal ... at first. Then she starts to show her true colors. This Madonna is in it for the money and the "Yankovic bump" she'll get for her music when...
