Oscar-winner Cuba Gooding Jr. hopes O.J. Simpson will see an accurate reflection of himself in FX's hit series, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and find peace in the portrayal.
"Hopefully he'll see some truth in it," the actor tells People in this week's issue.
For Gooding Jr., 48, watching the new Ryan Murphy series ideally will be a spiritual experience for Simpson. "Hopefully he will find some sense of redemption and healing," he said at Perry Ellis' New York Fashion Week Men's show. "To be thoughtful and reflective."
