John Krasinski still can’t resist cracking up at The Office bloopers.
The actor, who played Jim Halpert, has been reminiscing about The Office on his If press tour, but a stop off at BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show had him creasing with laughter.
Presenter Greg James played Krasinski a clip of The Office cast corpsing during the filming of the Dinner Party episode in Season 4.
Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin) are showing Halpert and Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) around their condo.
Scott is particularly proud of his tiny, wall-mounted plasma TV, but the actors were unable to make it through the scene without laughing. Here’s the moment Krasinski watched it back:

John Krasinski is recalling an emotional moment between him and Steve Carell, his former co-star on The Office, when they reunited on the set of his new animated movie If.
The Quiet Place star, who wrote and directed the family-friendly movie about imaginary friends, recently opened up to People magazine about the moment Carell made him cry.
“When he came in, I thought I would have the best time ever, and I did,” Krasinski said. “But the first thing he did was make me cry, which sounds sad but it was amazing.”

In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office’s legacy still lives on in fans’ hearts. Millions of them constantly recall the favorite sitcom’s cultish moments and catchphrases, doing parodies and allusions.
Pranks have always been one of the most remarkable aspects of the show, with many of them being repeated around the world. These obviously include Jim Halpert’s pranks on Dwight Schrute, the office’s main fighter for justice and pain in the neck.
It resulted in Dwight's actor, Rainn Wilson, often getting pranked in real life too, during the public events and reunions he visits. However, some of Jim's antics follow him even when he doesn’t expect it, and he has recently seen another joke made on him.
During a trip to Florence, Italy, the actor ordered room service and was surprised to find his cutlery encased in red Jell-o.

It's been almost two decades since John Krasinski was introduced to the world as the floppy-haired, baby-faced Jim Halpert in NBC's "The Office." Since then he's grown up, grown a beard, and grown into a successful career as a director, which truly took off after his horror film "A Quiet Place" grossed more than $340 million worldwide.
"It's very hard to step outside of your comfort zone -- all the way from 'The Office,' to deciding to do a genre movie," Krasinski told Total Film magazine. His upcoming movie "If" (an acronym for imaginary friends) was another "huge departure, and a big swing." Fortunately, he had an old friend from his comfort zone along for the ride: his "Office" co-star Steve Carell is in the movie as the voice of Blue, a big huggable purple creature that only Bea (Cailey Fleming) and her upstairs neighbor (Ryan Reynolds) can see.

The American version of "The Office" is one of the most beloved TV comedies of all time. After originally airing from 2005 to 2013, the NBC series garnered 42 Emmy nominations and five wins, including Outstanding Comedy Series for the show's second season. Years later, the game-changing mockumentary series found renewed life in streaming as one of the most consistently watched shows on Netflix before becoming an exclusive on NBC Universal's streaming service Peacock.
In recent years, Peacock has given "The Office" a bit of a makeover with the so-called "Superfan Episodes," offering extended cuts of episodes with longer versions of scenes that never aired on TV and re-inserted deleted scenes, some of which never even made it to the special features of physical media releases. While the extended cuts don't necessarily result in better episodes, they do offer some amusing new bits and extended variations on scenes you already love. In fact,...

Late in the eighth season of “Friends,” Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) comes storming into her old apartment, upset and concerned. Joey (Matt LeBlanc) has just confessed he’s in love with her, she’s told him she doesn’t feel the same way, and now the two are stuck in an awkward cycle of avoidance. Chandler (Matthew Perry), being the only one there, tries to comfort her, but his broad assurances aren’t convincing, and when challenged, all he can muster is a light joke. “I’m not great at the advice. Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?”
That line stuck with a lot of people who watched “Friends,” and thus, it stuck with a lot of people. For one, it’s extremely relatable — not knowing what to say when a friend is hurting — but the moment also seemed to define Chandler as a character, and, to some extent,...

"The Office" is one of the most beloved TV comedies in recent memory. An adaptation of the British comedy series of the same name created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, after some early struggles, the US version of "The Office" on NBC carved its own path and became a massive hit, thanks to the mockumentary hilarity following the employees of a Pennsylvania paper company. In fact, even after the show came to an end back in 2013, it dominated streaming charts on Netflix, finding a whole new audience, which inspired stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey to launch a hit podcast looking back at each and every episode of the series. With that level of success, it should come as no surprise that NBC may have a reboot of "The Office" in the works.

The Office paved the way for many shows to employ the documentary style to comedy. Parks and Recreation used it in the local political milieu. Modern Family used it to bring new dynamics to the sitcom. Abbott Elementary still uses it in the teacher comedy. The Office cinematographer Randall Einhorn was instrumental in developing that style, which could be easy to take for granted on the show.

The now-iconic cast of The Office came together through a long process of auditions. With the original British version of the sitcom having such a strong impact on international audiences, there was a particular focus on getting each part matched with the perfect actor. And showrunner Greg Daniels didn’t always stick with his first choices, even if they were available.
There were always rumors about who did and didn’t make the cut and why. Thanks to the enduring popularity of the American version of The Office, that attention has never waned. And now, a viral TikTok video presents early auditions for the show, much to fans’ delight.

The Office fans waited years for Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) to get together. Their costars waited hours for them to film their longing scenes every week. Now that it’s all over, they can laugh about it.

Over nine seasons of The Office, Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) went from Dunder Mifflin’s resident slacker to manager to entrepreneur. In those early seasons, it was funny to see the clever ways Jim found to minimize his work, and mess with Dwight (Rainn Wilson) who was super committed. Krasinski said Jim couldn’t keep doing mediocre work forever.

The Office is a revolutionary comedy that created a new model for how modern sitcoms could be done. Its mockumentary format had been done before, but it was perfected here, and many shows after tried to put their spin on its style. While many have failed to capture what made The Office great, a few mockumentary comedies have paved their own path without seeming like a knockoff.

Reno 911! premiered before The Office, but it is a different type of mockumentary comedy. The show is a parody of cop documentary TV shows, specifically Cops, and follows the Reno sheriff’s department members in Nevada. It’s much cruder than The Office and contains profane and often politically incorrect humor.

The Office introduced a potential romance between Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Pam Beesley (Jenna Fischer) in the first season. It played out over the years like Ross and Rachel on Friends, Tony and Angela in Who’s the Boss? and many other TV shows. When Jim and Pam finally married on The Office, Fischer said trying on the wedding dress was special.

Have you ever refused something you just didn't want to do? Maybe it was a trivial task, or perhaps, it was an important life moment, but something about the situation didn't sit right with you. It compromised your values. It didn't make sense to you. Or you just didn't want to do it, plain and simple, no reasoning required.
The same is true for actors. I know this comes as a shock. They're just like you and me! Gasp! When a television series runs long enough, the actors know their characters well. They have a strong understanding of what their characters would (and wouldn't) do and sometimes have to call the writers out on dialogue or contradictory story points. The Office paved the way for many other “documentary style” TV comedies. It was based on the British format, and shows like Trailer Park Boys predate the American Office too. But, the success of The Office meant shows like Parks and Recreation or Modern Family could get away with it on broadcast. The creators of the American The Office said they were inspired by reality TV.

The Office got a lot of humor out of the rivalry between Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson). Dwight took working at Dunder Mifflin so seriously, Jim couldn’t help messing with him. But, when it came to working together behind the scenes, Wilson shook Krasinski.

The Office told the story of the employees of the Dunder Mifflin paper company. Presented in a documentary style, the documentary crew ended up staying with Dunder Mifflin for nine years. 2023 marks a whole decade since The Office has been off the air, but in some ways, it’s impossible to tell. From nonstop reruns to Peacock’s streaming options, NBC’s The Office has seemingly never stepped out of the spotlight.
The series’ beloved characters and insatiable humor were just part of why The Office became such a success. Over the series’ nine seasons and 188 episodes, it is hard to believe that John Krasinski, one of the stars of The Office, was in every single episode, except one.

Many episodes of The Office started with a cold open. This tactic jumped right into the middle of a story that had nothing to do with the episode’s narrative but stood alone as a mini arc. Many of the cold opens from The Office are fan favorites, including the one from the season 6 premiere “Gossip” where Michael (Steve Carell), Andy (Ed Helms), and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) do parkour. Behind the scenes, Toby Flenderson actor Paul Lieberstein is the reason that scene became as funny as it did — find out why.

According to Lieberstein, who wrote and directed the episode, the parkour scene wasn’t choreographed. He did tell the actors that the goal was to “just mess up the room as much as possible.”
However, after an underwhelming first take, Lieberstein made a change.

John Krasinski rose to fame after playing Jim Halpert for nine seasons on the US version of The Office. The actor has gone on to star in much more action-packed roles. He looks a lot different than he did at 25 years old when he filmed the pilot episode of The Office. Krasinski also has two daughters, one of whom didn’t believe her father was in the show.

After a rocky start in the U.S., the American version of The Office has remained a cultural juggernaut. Not only did the series continue to improve the model for the mockumentary format that is still popular in series such as Abbott Elementary, but it also continues to find new fans, who catch up with the show on streaming services long after the end of its nine-season run. Much of the success of The Office can be attributed to its signature visual cue, when a character gives a befuddled look to the camera.
Most often, those looks came from John Krasinski, who played Jim Halpert, the unwilling company man at Dunder Mifflin. But on one occasion, Krasinski couldn’t give his famed glance to punctuate a joke, not because he didn’t think it was funny, but because he was laughing too hard.

Like Batman or Superman, Jack Ryan is a character that has seen several on-screen iterations played by a variety of actors. Unlike these superhero figures though, Jack Ryan isn’t rich and doesn’t have powers of any kind – really he’s just a regular dude. Created by prolific writer Tom Clancy, Jack Ryan is a man from a middle-class background who uses his military experience and education in history and economics to save the U.S. from both foreign and domestic adversaries.
But even though he doesn’t appear to be much more than a normal guy, that’s what makes him more relatable than other action heroes. Jack Ryan has been able to survive through so many film and TV adaptations because he is able to handle such exceptional situations with his intelligence and determination. He’s the epitome of the “American Dream,” and that really resonates with people.

John Krasinski, who is known for playing Jim Halpert in “The Office”, will be seen performing a daredevil stunt in the upcoming third season of “Jack Ryan”. He was unbuckled and thrown off a helicopter in one of the action sequences.
About this, the actor said: “We were performing an air-water stunt where everyone on the helicopter that day was a Navy Seal. During the shoot, one of our buddies, Kevin Kent, said, ‘it would be a lot cooler if you did the stunt’. I said, ‘What would that look like?’ And he said, ‘It’d look like me unbuckling you and throwing you out of this helicopter’.”
He further recollected as he said: “And he did, right then and there. Whenever we can, whenever it feels safe (we do the stunts). I think you do get that little kid instinct of, ‘I can do that, we can try that!

John Krasinski’s breakthrough role was playing Jim Halpert on “The Office”, and during a recent appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” he explained why that’s led his daughters — Hazel, 8, and Violet, 6 — to believe he works in an actual office.
“The reason I think that is because I was walking them to school one day, and this guy came up, and he was very nice, he went, ‘John! From “The Office”!,’” he said. “I went ‘Yeah,’ and he said, ‘Oh my god, it’s so good to see you,’ and I said, ‘Thanks’ and he kept walking.”
After that, Krasinski continued, one of his daughters asked him, “‘So, you work with him?’ I went, ‘No.’ And she goes, ‘Why are you lying to me?’ I went, ‘I’m not lying to you.’ She goes, ‘No, he just said he knows you from the office.’”

"I just want to be friends. Plus a little extra. Also, I love you." Ah, Dwight Shrute, always a way with words. It's clunky romantic exchanges like this that helped draw out one of modern television's best and most unorthodox love stories. The love story between Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly took center stage for the first several seasons of "The Office." But once their relationship was established, the show handed the baton to another couple.
Dwight Shrute and Angela Martin deftly carried the "will-they-won't-they?" sitcom trope all the way to the show's series finale. And while Jim and Pam's story might have been more traditional, Dwight and Angela's relationship was much more fun ... and salacious.
Along the way, cats were killed, babies were conceived, paternities were hidden, and affairs were had. The couple's tumultuous relationship began in season 2 and appeared to end in season 4 when Dwight killed Angela's cat Sprinkles.
