German Film Academy Actor Ralph Kretschmar was born in Berlin, East Germany. He graduated from
"Pierre de Coubertin" (Berlin), one of the best physical education college in Germany. He was a competitive swimmer, later a full-time basketball player before becoming an actor. Ralph appeared in a number of popular German
films and shows, before landing a significant role in the popular
German crime series
Coast Guard (1997) in 2004. He
starred in nearly 70 episodes, shown European-wide. After leaving the
series by his own will in 2008, he took a memorable turn as an LSD &
Cocain addict in
Little Paris (2008), as a basketball
star in
Hangtime (2009),
produced by
Sönke Wortmann and as a lost
student in the Oscar® Nominated feature film
The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008).
In 2011, after a big audition marathon, Ralph played the part of Streetdancer Martin in Sony Pictures

Stomp the Yard (2007) writer
Robert Adetuyi. Most recently,
US-Director
Matthew Mishory signed Ralph
for his upcoming feature film
Portland. Ralph is about to play
the rough and edgy part of 25 years old Stark.
