Born in Glasgow, Scotland to Irish parents Denis has 2 siblings, An older brother Brian who tragically passed away and a younger sister Michelle.
Leaving Scotland, He headed south to London in particular the East End including Mile End and Bow it was during this period in his life He began to discover a taste for writing short stories
Since then Denis has worked as a Media Officer for a Non League side in Cumbria, And presented his own radio show on Lake District Radio whilst continuing as a Supporting Actor appearing in numerous projects including Indiana Jones Napoleon The Crown Archie and many other well known productions.
However, It was writing and directing that he felt most comfortable with and in 2021 wrote and directed A Mother's Love.
A short film that follows a young mother as she comes to terms with loosing her child. The film addresses issues such as child loss and suicide and was recommended for several awards on Film Freeway.
In 2022 Denis begun working on a project named Three Little Words which is currently in Post Production due for release in February 2023.
The story as described by Denis, Is a romantic love story that follows two lover's through time a kind of "Time Travellers Wife" shot in the heart of Cumbria and the Lake District and starring Lee Durrant And Theresa Durrant as William and Elizabeth.
In 2022/23 Denis has begun the process of putting together a fantastic new project that will address the stigma and prejudice associated with the deadly illness AIDS.
The feature film named "TOMMY" will be written and directed by Denis with contributions from up an coming writer Lee Durrant whom he worked alongside in Three Little Words.
