- Zsuzsa Rácz wanted to be a writer since her childhood. At the age of 19 she moved to Budapest where she started to work at the Hungarian Radio. She left it in 2000. In this period of her life she had to wrestle with several problems: she had cancer and her brother became dependent on drugs. In an interview she mentioned, overcoming these problems gave her a lot of strength and helped her to grow up. Then she worked as a freelance journalist and was looking for a full-time job. She started to write down her feelings and problems as a fictitious person's, Kata Kéki's diary. A friend of her drew a publisher to her attention. The novel Állítsátok meg Terézanyut! was out on the 4th of June, in 2002. It was a tremendous success in Hungary, more than 120.000 copies of the book were sold. Even in the year of publication it was planned to make a film of the novel. The shooting of the novel started in the October of 2003, then the movie was presented in the December of 2004.
