With the new information regarding Victor Garber's exit from Legends of Tomorrow, we have to wonder if this means more of the team will be leaving this mission to continue living their lives in 2017. We don't know how Dr. Stein will be written off of the show, but we know this leaves Jax without the other half to his Firestorm, and in the first two episodes of season 3, two other characters have been acting off in regards to being part of the team.

Blaxploitation made its move on the horror market with Aip’s Blacula (1972); so successful was the foray that the money wheels started turning towards a follow up. And while Aip was busy cooking up a sequel to their surprise hit, an outsider saw an opening in the window of the American Dream and leapt right through. Frank Saletri may have been a lawyer by trade, but his heart belonged to horror and he gave his all to write and produce Blackenstein (1973) – a movie somewhat better than its godawful reputation, restored for posterity on Blu-ray by the fine folks at Severin Films. Come for the monster; stay to hear Saletri’s story.

The legacy of Albert Einstein cannot be overstated — even when we take the scientist’s accomplishments for granted, he’s one of our planet’s most famous pop culture figures, recognizable across generations. The way he’s been depicted on screen has ranged from well-researched takes on the man’s life, such as Nat Geo Channel’s new anthology series “Genius,” premiering today, to, shall we say, somewhat more out-there fare.

Below are some of the most notable examples we found featuring the great scientist depicted in a less-than-serious state. What’s interesting about looking at all of these examples together is how on the one hand, Einstein as an icon has been utilized for the sake of comedy for decades now. But when film or TV choose to engage with the reality of the man himself,...

Looks like The Flash is taking a page out of Legends of Tomorrow's book for its upcoming musical episode and going way back in time. This first look photo from the highly anticipated crossover, exclusive to E! News, features Iris (Candice Patton), Dr. Stein (Victor Garber) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) all decked out in their 1940s best, complete with pocket squares and a lovely fur stole. Whatever is going on here, we're very into it. Obviously the best part of this picture is that it serves as proof that Iris will be a part of the musical crossover with Supergirl, though she wasn't listed as one of the stars who would be singing. That list includes Martin, Garber, Grant...

The Flash and Supergirl‘s upcoming musical crossover just got even, ahem, crazier.
Rachel Bloom, the co-creator and star of The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, has penned an original song for the big event, she tells BuzzFeed. Titled “Superfriends,” the song is a duet — with, I assume, a few meta jokes included for good measure — between stars Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin.
Additionally, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the award-winning songwriting team behind La La Land‘s “City of Stars,” have penned the original song “Runnin’ Home to You,” to be performed by Gustin.

Ah, the 80’s. Love the music, didn’t love the fashion. Then again, we’re not here to talk about music and clothes in this week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow. Team Legends go back to 1987 to stop Damien Darhk from stopping the signing of the treaty that ended the Cold War. Also, Dr. Stein also encounters his younger self once again. The hour began with Damien Darhk channeling his version of Don Johnson in Miami Vice. Way to get all cliche on me, show! Darhk got whatever it is that he wanted from the goons and they, in turn, gave

For a show that was about time travel, Legends of Tomorrow really disappointed me with how little they jumped around last season. I wanted more episodes where they traveled to the future and saw grizzled Oliver Queen! There's only 30 seconds to this new promo, but it looks to me like they'll be doing a lot more of that this season. That can only be a good thing, right?
If nothing else we'll apparently get to see Dr. Stein deck Albert Einstein in the face! That alone is worth the price of admission for me.

Everyone is getting in on the action, but as Iris West points out so elegantly in this promo for The CW's upcoming fall season, there's "some serious nerd love" right here.
This promo includes love for Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
It's great that we'll have Kara Zor El kicking some butt on The CW, but let's not forget we've already had gals doing the job on the network for quite some time.
What's missing from this particular promo?
Love for Canary, that's what.
No, every promo cannot feature every character, so I'm considering this a special Valentine to the nerds.
So, nerds, do you not love Canary? Is she too badass for you? Does she scare you or something?
Because this particular promo features a lot of other nerdiness.

Legends Of Tomorrow finally premiered last night after 9 months of waiting since the first promo we saw during the Arrow/Flash crossover. This puts DC up to 6 live action television shows that are in current production. With the creative team that brought us Arrow and The Flash Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim kick off the premiere show with a bang.
The thing that I like about this team is that they understand who the main audience of the show is. Usually with comic book shows and their pilot episode we are given a slow paced origin story that leaves us at the end of the show with the hero or team emerging. Legends of Tomorrow’s pilot episode felt more like a second episode as we are rushed right into action 30 minutes into the premiere.

After months of mouth-watering trailers and backdoor stage-setting, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is finally upon us. The series, which pulls characters from "Arrow" and "The Flash" and sets them adrift in time, premieres this Thursday on the CW.
Moviefone recently screened the two-part pilot and -– spoiler alert -– it's tremendously fun.
Understandably, there are a lot of moving parts. Not only must "Legends" introduce a brand new protagonist in time master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), but the series also has to show him wrangle together a large group of colorful heroes and villains from the CW's other comic book shows. The premiere does a great job of weaving in each new character without ever slowing down the narrative, but there is much to digest.
How does the whole time travel thing work exactly? Does "Legends" feel more like "The Flash" or "Arrow"? And what about guest stars -– are there any of them?...

The CW has released the first official images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and they revolve around the debut of the new Firestorm. He’ll be played by Franz Drameh, an actor who will make his debut as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson before going on to star in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Those of you who are fans of the Ronnie Raymond version don’t need to worry too much though, as the actor recently dropped a pretty major hint that he’ll be reprising that role in The Flash somewhere down the line.
Here’s an official description of “The Fury of Firestorm,” courtesy of The CW:

Following last night’s awesome episode of The Flash, The CW has released a first look at next week’s instalment of the hit superhero drama. As you’ve probably already guessed from the title, this one will be focusing on Firestorm as a critically ill Dr. Stein needs to find a new partner in order to survive.
That will be Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, a little known character from the comic books who was friends with Ronnie Raymond during his early adventures as a high school student. In The Flash, it doesn’t appear as if he’ll share any ties to the M.I.A. Ronnie (my theory is that he’s on Earth-2), but if this promo is any indication, it looks like he won’t be able to handle the powers of Firestorm all that well, taking a villainous turn as a result!

The Flash, Season 2, Episode 1, “Flash of Two Worlds”
Directed by Jesse Warn
Teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Todd Helbing
Airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm (Et) on CW
It was in issue #123 of The Flash (released in 1961), that Barry Allen accidentally vibrated his molecules at lightning speed and found himself transported to Keystone City. And it was in this parallel universe that he met Jay Garrick of Earth-Two for the first time. Even since The Flash TV show started to dabble with time travel, fans of D.C. Comics have been hoping to see this reunion unfold on the small screen, and now that we finally got what we wanted, I have to admit, it was pretty spectacular. Things play out a little differently, of course, but that was to be expected, and fans of the comic shouldn’t have a problem since the execution was outright entertaining from start to finish.

The upcoming "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" spin-off series is going for broke according to showrunner Phil Klemmer. Talking with Collider he says sixteen episodes for this third leg in the "Arrow" and "The Flash" universe have been commissioned and they are proceeding as if this is a one-off:
"We're not looking beyond these sixteen episodes, and by the time we're done with these sixteen episodes we're going to leave these characters in a place where we couldn't repeat season one if we wanted to...
This is much more like an anthology show where we're like sprinting for a finish line and we don't know where it's going to end, but we're pretty sure that it's going to leave us in place that we can't just start the race over next year. That's really exciting because characters can die, they can get left behind, they can turn to the dark side,...

Jax Jackson (not "Jay" as previously reported) will indeed be the new half of Firestorm, and where this leaves Ronnie - who I would guess is stuck on Earth-2 - and Jason Rusch remains to be seen. There's nothing else too revealing here other than the fact that Barry and Patty will grow closer, but be sure to let us know your thoughts below.

There are several new villains set to debut this season, but which one do you think has the gang looking so concerned? “We pick up about six months later, and we’re going to piece together how the storm has affected everyone,” Grant Gustin tells TV Insider. “It’s not as different as you’d think, but as we move forward, some things will blow fans’ minds.” The Flash season 2 premieres Tuesday Oct. 6, at 8/7c on The CW.

The CW’s DC Comics shared television universe that began with Arrow and The Flash will expand even more this winter, when Legends of Tomorrow debuts. The team-up miniseries will feature several characters from both original shows, like Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom and Sara Lance/White Canary, and The Flash‘s Dr. Stein/Firestorm, Captain Cold and Heat Wave. It will also mark the small-screen debuts of new additions like time travelling rogue Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl.
As it turns out, Legends of Tomorrow may not be the only spinoff on the horizon. According to SpoilerTV, the CW is already prepping a Hawkgirl spinoff that, if picked up, will skip the pilot stage completely and fly straight to a series order.
