Belinda continues to embrace the rise of música Mexicana with her new era. On Thursday, Belinda followed her corrido-pop comeback “Cactus” by enlisting corridos king Natanael Cano on tumbado bop “300 Noches.”
Accompanied by Cano and the strums of the requinto guitar, Belinda sings to an ex-love who’s long moved on — even if she has not. The track laces the classic elements of corridos with a poppier piano. “Now we’re two strangers, and it feels strange that even if you left me, I still miss you,” sings Cano, before...

"I get way more scared and embarrassed having to talk about my personal life in interviews than saying it in a song," Prince Royce admits during an interview in Los Angeles for his new album, "Llamada Perdida," which dropped Friday. With a decade-plus career that has generally been free of controversy, the Dominican American bachata artist and pop star is wearing his heart on his sleeve in his first LP since a very public divorce. Prince Royce says he has found healing through music while re-prioritizing himself and pushing the bachata genre to new places.
"Right now, I feel like I'm in a good place," he tells Popsugar. "Everybody has problems. It's just how you deal with them, and I think it's all part of growth. That's how I took in this experience in my personal life that happened in the last two years."

Prince Royce has a “weird relationship” with his new album, Llamada Pérdida, out today. The new album has 23 songs that he describes as “bachata in 4K,” as he explores genre fusions while getting in touch with his emotions. The lyrics show a more vulnerable side of the singer, including some of the difficult moments surrounding his split from his longtime partner Emeraude Toubia in 2022.
Though the music captures the singer dealing with both the heartbreak and the healing after the breakup, he’s in a much happier place now. (When...

Ed Maverick is making the saddest song on Peso Pluma’s Génesis even sadder. On Thursday, the Mexican indie singer-songwriter released a cover of “Lagunas,” Peso’s track with Jasiel Nuñez about forcing himself to stay away from someone he loves so that he can heal.
“Perhaps in another galaxy things were different,” sings Maverick in his distinct melancholic voice. “Perhaps there we’d have what we always had wanted.”
“Lagunas” was the second-to-last track on Génesis and hears Peso and Nuñez introspecting following the conclusion of a relationship backed by soft guitars and requinto.

Becky G has had quite a year, and it's only July.
The Latin music artist performed her solo debut at Coachella this April, collaborated with Peso Pluma on their regional Mexican hit single "Chanel," recently released single "La Nena" alongside Mexican singer-songwriter Gabito Ballesteros, joined the Latine-led cast for DC's "Blue Beetle" movie in the role of Khaji-Da, and will kick off her first US tour, Mi Casa, Tu Casa, in September. But despite her jam-packed schedule, the 26-year-old has also managed to squeeze in time to give back to the Latine community, thanks to her recent partnership with Cheetos.
This year, Cheetos is celebrating the brand's fourth iteration of the Deja Tu Huella (Leave Your Mark) campaign "to support and celebrate the next generation of Hispanic students via scholarships," per a press release. In partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation, the campaign will award 500 scholarships to students attending Hispanic-serving institutions across the country.

Is Becky G's new song about Sebastian Lletget? On June 28, the 26-year-old singer dropped her highly anticipated collaboration with Gabito Ballesteros, "La Nena," and the empowering track and sexy music video center on a woman choosing to dance through life despite having a broken heart.
In the track, Ballesteros begins by singing in Spanish, "Quiere olvidarse del cabrón que no valora / Que está con ella y a la vez con otra," which translates to, "She wants to forget about the bastard who doesn't value / Who is with her and at the same with another."
Another standout lyric is when Becky shouts: "Mejor sola que mal acompañada" which means, "Better alone than in bad company."
But perhaps the most telling lyrics are in the chorus when Becky and Ballesteros both sing, "Baila sola y si supiera / Que bella es soltera /Lo siento, bebé / Le dedicó su ex, el que no...
