Stop me when you’ve heard this one before: a hapless adult man living with his mother refuses to grow up or change, but don’t worry. His arrested development might be endlessly annoying, but that’s basically the point — and when push comes to shove, everyone surrounding him finds him too charming to resist, anyway.
Therein lies the premise of “Frank of Ireland,” an uninspired take on one of the oldest stories in the book from Michael Moloney and brothers Brian and Domhnall Gleeson. Co-produced by Amazon and Channel 4, the six-episode series follows aimless layabout Frank (Brian Gleeson) and his servile best friend Doofus (Domhnall Gleeson) as they bumble around their small town, causing grief and havoc everywhere they go. While Doofus occasionally shows some signs of a conscience to make up for his lack of spine, Frank seems to lack a moral compass entirely, instead twisting every...

Most towns have one -- a house so decorated for Christmas it's probably visible from space.
Now take those light-happy, statue-crazed homeowners and multiply them many times over, then pit 20 of them in competition. That's the premise of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight," premiering Monday, Dec. 9.
Each of the five one-hour episodes, shown over three consecutive Mondays, features four families, one of which comes away a $50,000 winner.
During the last holiday season, ABC asked families who do serious decorating to send footage of their houses. For this, they have three weeks to decorate and can enlist family and friends.
One family erects a giant Ferris wheel and a ski lift in the front yard. Another family sings on the roof, albeit a flat roof.
"Ultimately it came down to a variety of spectacular Christmas lights displays," executive producer Brady Connell tells Zap2it. "We wanted people from all around the country.

Dennis Kelly's unsettling conspiracy drama is returning next year with six new fifty-minute episodes, including - in Kelly's own words - "a very odd" series opener, "which people are either going to really like or really say ‘what the fuck did you do that for?’ and I’ve got no idea what the reaction’s going to be".
Director Marc Munden, who was responsible for establishing Utopia's impressive style in series one, is back to head up the first three episodes of series two.

O Theos agapaei to haviari, the epic story of sailor, entrepreneur and national hero Ioannis Varvakis, has triumphed at the box office in dark times for the country's self-worth
The Greeks never used to have hero issues. But heroes have been in short supply in the country's hour of need, which could explain the rush to cinemas to spend time in the company of an 18th-century pirate turned luxury foodstuffs tycoon. Recent release O Theos agapaei to haviari (God Loves Caviar) is the story of Ioannis Varvakis, an Enlightenment-era rapscallion who sided with the Russians in their 1768 war with the Turks, befriended Catherine the Great and built a fortune out of sturgeon eggs – then gave it all away to help his motherland fight the Ottoman empire. It's not exactly all-action Pirates of the Aegean; with Catherine Deneuve as Catherine, John Cleese as an English colonial officer and The Lives of Others...

What's going to make us sob like little babies now?! ABC has canceled Extreme Makeover: Home Edition after nine heartwarming seasons of tear-jerking tales of sorrow and hardship bookended by even more tear-jerking scenes of joy and excitement when a family gets the keys to their brand-new house. "For nine seasons, I was blessed to have been given the opportunity to change lives across the globe with the help of loving communities, generous sponsors, and a cast that has become my second family," interior designer Michael Moloney said in a statement. NBC and Fox have both unleashed their Fall 2011-2012 TV schedule, now ABC has released theirs. I’m excited to see Castle, Modern Family, and The Middle back in the mix. Most of the new shows they have line-up don’t really interest me, but there are a few that have caught my eye. PanAm is another 1960’s based TV show that will go against AMC’s Mad Men and NBC’s The Playboy Club. There’s a show called Revenge that sounds really interesting, but the new series I’m most excited about is is the fantasy series Once Upon A Time, a show where fairy tales collide with the modern day.
Here is ABC’s full schedule along with a description of all of their shows. Go through them below and let us know what TV series you’re most excited about seeing.
