The action and stress amped up on the penultimate episode of Syfy's The Ark's first season.
Garnet continued to enact her rescue mission on The Ark Season 1 Episode 11, which led her to Evelyn Maddox's invention, the weapon that uses the Aliciaminium.
We learned fast that Evelyn invented the element as a weapon and that nothing can stop it.
The excellent news is Garnet managed to send the weapon details over to Ark One, which also gave them access to Ark 15's schematics.
The bad news was that Garnet's rescue mission plan didn't see continued success.
After taking out many different guards across the ship (mainly by the weapons room), she found herself in Ark 15's science lab, where they were breeding many species of spiders.
They didn't have the correct spider, but Garnet got the info on the other ingredients of the Klampkins cure.
Sadly, the man in the science...

The crew of Ark One once again fought for their survival, but not without a casualty and some (actually interesting) political discourse.
Ark One and Ark Fifteen finally confronted each other on The Ark Season 1 Episode 10.
Kelly took Lane, Angus, and William Trust hostage, leaving Cat and a wounded Helena on Ark One.
Helena tried to stop Kelly (with the help of Lane), but Lane got his nose dislocated, and Helena got shot in the stomach.
Left alone with Cat Brandice, Helena bled out in the holding room of Ark One in Cat's arms.
Samantha Glassner managed to impress throughout the episode, turning from sweet Kelly to a slightly-crazy enemy.
The actress teased us that Kelly became (more) important, and that teaser finally came to fruition through the hour.
When Kelly, Lane, Angus, and William Trust arrived on Ark 15, we finally met Evelyn Maddox, William Trust's rival and all-around bitch.

An interesting mutiny occurred on Ark One, almost killing some of our main characters.
William Trust staged a coup on The Ark Season 1 Episode 9, while the truth about Kelly got revealed.
While holed up in a holding bay, Lt. Brice admitted the truth to Lt. Garnet and Felix.
Luckily, Lt. Garnet met Brice's confession with love and support, with her finally understanding his anger towards Trust.
Trust quickly got Eva, Cat, and Jelena on his side to stage his coup.
The coup proved easy to commit, with each crew member, as mentioned taking a target to drug.
Eva took Lt. Brice after they had sex (again), Cat took Garnet during a therapy session, and Jelena took her boss, Felix.
The three found themselves trapped in a holding room with no way out, with Jelena posted as a guard.
The sudden drugging and kidnapping made Brice get pissed off at William Trust,...

The Ark is approaching the end of its first season, but the show has introduced some new characters on Ark One.
Samantha Glassner plays Kelly, the mysterious lone survivor from Ark Three.
Kelly got introduced on The Ark Season 1 Episode 7.
Her storyline continued briefly on The Ark Season 1 Episode 8, but her character got overshadowed by William and Helena Trust's entrance on the ship.
Check out the interview below! This interview has been edited for clarity.
What was it like working on a science fiction show?
It was incredible. I loved working on The Ark. To start with, the sets are incredible.
The first day I walked on set, I stepped into a fully built spaceship, which I'm a bit of a nerd.
I thought it was so cool looking at all the technology they built. Every aspect, the detail was so specific. It was incredible.
Did you have any trouble acclimating to the space?...
