Marvel has been known to be quite unjust towards specific characters in their collection. The perfect example of this would be Danny Rand, better known as Iron Fist. He is one of the most beloved mystical characters in the Marvel Universe. Despite this, the character has not had the best experience when it comes to live action.

While the fans have contrasting opinions when it comes to the 2017 Netflix series, its cancellation was not appreciated by anyone. However, now that Daredevil is getting another opportunity through Daredevil: Born Again, what is stopping Marvel from doing the same with Rand, and what better opportunity than his 50th anniversary?

Iron Fist made his debut in the world of comics in May 1974 in the fifteenth issue of Marvel Premiere. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, the character has become iconic for many different reasons.

Ahead of the movie's world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, the first trailer for Francis Ford Coppola's sci-fi passion project, Megalopolis, has been released online.
Really more of a scene preview than a proper teaser, the footage sees Adam Driver's character, Caesar, step out on to the ledge of a building and walk precariously towards the edge. Caesar then begins to topple forward, but before he falls, he yells "time stop," and freezes in place. After a few moments, he snaps his fingers and the world around him returns to normal.
Coppola shared the clip on Instagram, with a sad addendum.
"Megalopolis has always been a film dedicated to my dear wife Eleanor. I really had hoped to celebrate her birthday together this May 4th. But sadly that was not to be, so let me share with everyone a gift on her behalf."

As of this writing, there have been well over 400 WrestleMania matches since the event began back in 1985. Since then, countless WWE wrestlers (and even a couple celebrities) have battled it out in so many different ways and with quality that runs the gamut from unwatchable to undeniable. In what is supposed to be WWE’s biggest annual show, some matches fall short, but others rise to the occasion and put together some unforgettable performances.
But today we’re celebrating the very best matches WrestleMania has ever offered wrestling fans. But first, some ground rules. First, as there are so many WrestleManias to cover, we are only going to allow one entry per event. The modern shows with two nights of festivities will only count as one combined event. Second, to keep things from becoming repetitive, there will be no match redundancies. If two wrestlers battled it out in multiple WrestleManias,...

Yeoman Janice Rand, the character played by Grace Lee Whitney in the original "Star Trek," only appeared in eight episodes of the show, but she left an impression. By Whitney's own description, Janice Rand was a "girl next door" type, adding a relatable element to the wild sci-fi setting of a series set in the 23rd century. While Captain Kirk (William Shatner) conversed and analyzed with Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Rand was busy doing petty jobs, filing paperwork, and distributing refreshments. I can't speak for other Trekkies, but when imagining myself getting a job on the U.S.S. Enterprise, I imagine being a yeoman is all I'd be qualified for.
Whitney has said in her autobiography "The Longest Trek: My Tour of the Galaxy," that Rand was written out of "Star Trek" because she had too much chemistry with Kirk. The relationship between Janice and Jim could easily have developed into something romantic,...

(Credit: Nicole Weingart/NBC) As viewers will recall, Abby’s been single for a little while after breaking things off with her long-distance boyfriend Rand (played by the comedic Pete Holmes) at the end of Night Court‘s first season, setting the perfect stage for a romantic opportunity in her future. It would certainly be a new way to see Nayyar and Rauch onscreen as the pair...

Abby Stone is in a romantic panic in Night Court Season 2 Episode 4. Her ex, Rand (Pete Holmes), is dating someone else after their ended engagement, which launches Melissa Rauch‘s spritely judge into an obsession with… pickles. The crunchy snack is a metaphor for Abby fearing change in her life. Pickles don’t change! They’re practically frozen in time. In the TV Insider exclusive clip above, new court clerk Wyatt Shaw tries to get Abby to get to the root of her newfound pickle obsession. “Is there a chance this isn’t about pickles?” he asks. “Maybe you’re feeling a little weird because your ex is seeing someone and you’re not? Are you on any dating apps?” “Almost. I’m still fine-tuning my profile,” Abby responds. “Like, what picture do I go with? Strong and sexy? Girl next door? Or cousin but worth it?” Wyatt encourages Abby...

Dan Fielding (John Larroquette) leaving New York City to become a judge in New Orleans? We object! That’s where the Season 1 finale of Night Court—the hit sequel to the classic 1984-92 legal sitcom—left off. The move put Judge Abby Stone (The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch), who also recently broke off her engagement to longtime beau Rand (Pete Holmes), in a big funk. “Where we left off was a bittersweet moment,” executive producer Dan Rubin says. “These two people found each other and built this little family between them and then everyone else [on the show] as well. Dan wants her to ask him to stay.” But Abby “doesn’t want to get in the way of his happiness,” or his new job. Will order in this court be restored? The revival of Night Court on NBC has actress Melissa Rauch of The Big Bang Theory pick up the gavel at the courthouse as the daughter of Harry Stone. In our review of the new show, Alex Maidy pointed out, “The reboot of Night Court comes from the production team of Melissa Rauch, her husband Winston Rauch, and John Larroquette. All three are avid fans of the original series and have an invested interest in making this series feel like a worthwhile successor to the sitcom without turning it into a woke recreation…Showrunner and writer Dan Rubin, a veteran of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Scrubs, keeps his staff on the ball with episodes that are as wacky as the original series and consistently feel like they could have been storylines thirty years ago.”

In a Republican conference lunch at the Capitol on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) came to the aid of Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) when she started to choke.
Paul reportedly performed the Heimlich maneuver on Ernst.
Ernst later thanked Paul on X where she made a joke about the cause of the incident.

Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-South Dakota), who attended the lunch, clarified to the public that Ernst choked on food, not policies.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) had posted a picture to X in celebration of that day’s Iowa-inspired meal. The photo of the meal featured dishes such as pork chops and beef sandwiches.
Multiple Republicans expressed their gratitude for Paul’s quick action. Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming) praised Paul.

With the understanding that The Wheel of Time is based on a book series that spans a dozen thousand-page-tomes that will take time to cover, there are certain questions posed by the recent season 2 finale that will need to be answered sooner rather than later. After delivering several recognizable character moments from the Robert Jordan novels in a stellar season ender, the bar is now set very high for future touchstone story arcs, and any changes require immediate buy-in from a sometimes fickle fan audience.
In some cases, these unresolved issues involve expectations that readers may have that viewers do not, but the most pressing questions actually come from The Wheel of Time’s own take on character storylines that are either completely new and mysterious or unfinished in some way. The second season finale of The Wheel of Time achieved a lot with the plot, and it proved to be very exciting!
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 8 finally saw all of our main characters make it to Falme and also fight their way through the town.
Also, an unexpected ally launched a full-out assault on the Seanchan.
The White Cloaks have always been a strange, menacing force in the series since we first got introduced to them on The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 2.
We don't know much about them other than that they hate anyone who channels the One Power (part of the reason for their attack on the Seanchan).
Even though our heroes are not fans of the White Cloaks (and neither are we), their attack against the Seanchan managed to help in some cases.

The Wheel of Time Season 2 has finally come to an end, and it is a much better finale than that of season 1. A fitting ending to the chaotic season where we finally get to see everyone come together. It was high time Rand faced Ishamael, and we saw the five come together. There are some tearjerkers and surprises in this episode that made the wait worth it. Some might even say the episode was too short. We did feel some things were a little bit rushed, but the payoff is decent, so we’re not going to complain. We would like to say that this all comes from the perspective of a non-reader, so take it with a grain of salt if you are a reader. Interestingly, we don’t get to see Siuan or any of the Aes Sedai except for Moiraine in this episode. At the end of...

This article contains spoilers for The Wheel of Time season 2 episode 8.
Even with the defeat of a Forsaken and the reunion of the Two Rivers exiles, it wasn’t exactly a fist-pumping victory for the forces of Light in The Wheel of Time season 2 finale. However, several characters reached major turning points in their story arcs providing plenty of satisfaction for viewers, especially for readers of the Robert Jordan novels who were expecting certain touchstone moments to occur. But for those with lingering questions, a closer analysis is warranted.
Ishamael and Lanfear at Odds
For example, what was the endgame for Ishamael and Lanfear? While the former seems determined to stop the wheel of time from repeating history and reincarnating heroes, the latter seems more interested in bringing back her former lover, Lews Therin, than in serving the Dark Lord’s interests. Ishamael seemed to be playing more of a long game,...

The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills and trust us, you will Not want to miss The Wheel of Time‘s second-season finale on October 6. Capping off a fast-paced and gorgeously rendered run, the Prime Video adaptation of Robert Jordan’s novels delivers one of its most exciting and pivotal hours so far. “What Was Meant to Be” drives all of the season’s plots into one massive, beautifully executed event, all centered on Rand (Josha Stradowski) taking a massive step toward fulfilling the prophecy that he’ll be revealed as the Dragon Reborn in the city of Falme. As that reaches a boil, Two Rivers wisdom Nynaeve (Zoë Robins) and Aes Sedai novice Elayne (Ceara Coveney) are racing to save his beloved Egwene (Madeleine Madden) from by her Seanchan enslaver Renna (Xelia Mendes-Jones), Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) is ready to unleash his animalistic abilities, and Mat (Dónal Finn) is, well,...

As expected, The Wheel of Time season 2 has moved all of its players from isolated storylines to one that is converging on a final battle. With the Seanchan backed by the Forsaken, who will be in Falme to champion the Light, and will they be ready for the inevitable confrontation? Actress Hayley Mills may have upended her parents’ lives in Disney’s The Parent Trap back in 1961, but her cameo in The Wheel of Time similarly showed how one Aes Sedai appearing in a flashback could influence the course of history for several of the show’s major characters. What at first glance appears to be a Dragon Reborn prophecy of which viewers were already aware becomes, upon closer inspection, a turning point not only for Rand as the subject of the vision, but also for Siuan, Moiraine, and the entire Damodred family.
Mills portrays an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah named Gitara Moroso, who was Keeper twenty years ago when Siuan and Moiraine were still among the Accepted in the White Tower. In The Wheel of Time, they are shown as a happy, carefree couple, who are particularly glad to...

The Wheel of Time's second outing is quickly coming to a close, but there are a lot of questions left unanswered!
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 7 saw Moiraine learn the truth about many things, and also betray someone important in her life.
Anvaere also made a discovery that will change the entire Damodred family's political and class standing forever.
The best part of the episode was something we've been wishing for since the beginning of The Wheel of Time Season 2. We finally got an update on all of the major characters.
With updates from Nynaeve, Egwene, Rand, Perrin, and Mat's storyline, the episode covered a large chunk of information and plot development!
However, even with getting our prayers answered, the episode still did not live up to The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 6. It was slow.

We’re coming close to the end of The Wheel of Time Season 2, and it may be too late for us to see the group together in Falme. What we can imagine is that the show wants us to anticipate the war in upcoming seasons rather than giving us something solid to witness right now. Yes, we get that the last battle is coming, but there’s just something missing in the way the show is progressing towards the end. It’s almost as if it’s deliberately not letting us see the whole picture. We feel exasperated by the pacing and just how little the narrative progresses with each episode. Visually, episode 7 is great, and there’s a specific scene with Mat that’s wonderfully made and will awe anyone watching. I wish there were more such scenes to talk about, though.

With the emotional impact of everything that Egwene endured in the most recent episode of The Wheel of Time, it would be easy to forget about all of the other myriad of story threads still dangling in season 2 in its final weeks. In fact, with the finale right around the corner, it’s likely that a big confrontation is coming either in Falme or Cairhien… or both!
Because the next episode is called “Daes Dae’mar,” which means “The Game of Houses” in the old tongue, we can wager a guess that political machinations will abound. This could refer to the fact that the Amyrlin has appeared with a large retinue and a mysterious agenda in Cairhien, the city where Lady Damodred and the other nobles hold sway. Could they be meeting about the Seanchan, or is there something else that needs to be negotiated or discussed?...

The Wheel of Time has always been a favorite, and season two has been an improvement, but this episode knocked it out of the park.
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 6 proved to be a tense, jam-packed episode with incredible performances, plot development, and new information.
We can confidently say that Eyes Without Pity is the best episode of the entire series.
At the beginning of the Wheel of Time Season 2, we often complained about the lack of coherency in the storyline and the overall feeling of an incomplete plot.
With this being the third to last episode of the season, we had hoped things would start to pick up, and they certainly did!
So many things happened over the course of this hour-plus episode, but they all made for a brilliant story.
We often praise Kate Fleetwood's portrayal of Liandrin Sedai, and her brief appearances during this hour were wonderful,...

The Wheel Of Time episode 6 is a little bit dull and feels overstretched with the amount of information thrust at us. Already, there are too many characters in the show, and at every turn, there’s a new one joining the mix, making it really hard to keep up. I’m sure readers of the book will not feel the same way, although they might not agree with the pattern of the show or how it’s been woven thus far. But for the uninitiated like myself, there’s way too much going on. Given that it is a fantasy series, we’re already overstimulated with the world-building, the names of places, the types of people, etc. The big problem with the show is the fact that everything feels squeezed in and half-baked. As we’re starting to understand why one thing or the other is coming together, there’s...

On Wednesday, Tori Spelling posted a birthday tribute to her mother, Candy Spelling, on Instagram. The post featured a series of photos of the mother and daughter pair throughout the years and was accompanied by a loving caption.
“Some of my happiest memories involve laughing so hard with you that we were happy crying uncontrollably and you doing your Lol wheeze…, “ she wrote.
Tori tagged her brother Randy Spelling, “You know the one! I never take for granted the beautiful life you raised Rand and I in with Dad. And, I am such a resilient and strong human and I owe so much of that to you.”
Tori closed out the caption to her post with, “Strong women run in our family. I’m passing it on. Loved and still love watching horror films in bed with you. Always. Xo.”
Although Tori and Candy have been estranged for years, the two have recently grown closer.

As The Wheel of Time season 2 gets closer to its finale, it appears that our characters are converging on Falme, perhaps for a confrontation with the Seanchan and the Forsaken who are pulling their strings. Will the Horn of Valere come into play, and will all of the Two Rivers exiles be reunited before the end of the season?
The next episode is entitled “Eyes Without Pity,” which unlike previous episodes doesn’t give us a lot to sink our teeth into in terms of predicting what story will be told. Nevertheless, here’s what we do know about episode 6 of season 2:

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains light spoilers for “The Wheel of Time” Season 2.]
If you’ll spare a weary critic a moment of vulnerability, I must admit: I do not understand “The Wheel of Time.” Not enough, anyway, though not for lack of trying. I’ve now seen the first season of Amazon Prime Video’s fantasy adaptation twice. I’ve read the Wiki pages as well as reviews from my fellow critics. I’ve screened the available Season 2 episodes, while poking around in recaps and social media reactions. The books remain unopened, but I’ve gone over their synopses and summaries, so I feel I’ve done my due diligence. I have given “The Wheel of Time” a spin, a fair shake, and a hard look.
Nevertheless, I don’t get whatever is going on here. In Season 2, Mom and Dad are fighting, but I can’t quite pinpoint how Lan (Daniel Henney) “failed” Moiraine (Rosamund Pike...

Readers of The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan may already know that the author was heavily influenced by the Dune books of Frank Herbert, but even for those who only know these sci-fi/fantasy classics from their screen adaptations, one parallel became very clear in the latest episode: the character of Aviendha played impressively by Ayoola Smart (Killing Eve). The Aiel prisoner immediately evoked all the desert warrior vibes of a Fremen, making her one of the most compelling new characters of the season.

Moiraine and Rand flee from Lanfear, a dangerous forsaken.
The Wheel of Time continuously hints at all of the characters coming together, and The Wheel of Time Season 2 Episode 5 proved no different.

Moiraine and Rand thankfully led Lanfear in the wrong direction, but Moiraine revealed one of the powerful Forsaken's powers: Tel'aran'rhiod.
She can enter their dreams while they sleep, and do as much damage to them there as she could in the physical world.
Entering someone's dreams while they sleep, and potentially harming them sounds terrifying, and apparently, Lanfear is super powerful.
We got a hint of her power when she entered Ishamael's dream later on in the hour, and they discussed their plans and why Ishamael revived her.

The Wheel of Time is finally back with its highly anticipated second season. After initially premiering in 2021, the Prime Video fantasy series is here again to answer many unanswered questions and weave a few more questions in to keep the audience interested.
Created by Rafe Judkins, the fantasy series is based on a novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson. The Wheel of Time follows the story of Moiraine, a member of a magical organization. She takes five young people on a perilous journey, believing that one of them is a reincarnation of the Dragon. A very powerful individual who is destined to save the world or destroy it.

This article contains spoilers for The Wheel of Time season 2 episode 4 and the book series.
It’s no secret that fans of the Robert Jordan novels upon which The Wheel of Time is based are not always pleased with the adaptation’s choice of modifications to the original narrative. But in the latest episode, “Daughter of the Night,” the introduction of Lanfear, a new general in the Dark One’s army, gives added agency to an important character. As interesting as she was in the books, Lanfear was initially introduced as a woman in need of rescue with an emotional attachment to the Dragon Reborn… or more specifically, the original Dragon, Lews Therin Telamon.
It’s a subtle but important distinction! When Lanfear first appears in the novels, she immediately targets Rand al’Thor using the alias Selene, just as she does in The Wheel of Time season 2. But instead...

The Wheel of Time season 2 finds our characters on their separate journeys, discovering their inner strength, special powers, or both! As the Dark One’s followers start to increase hostilities, the politics within the Aes Sedai and of the larger world are also beginning to heat up. [This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] After more than a year and a half, the fantastical hit based on Robert Jordan’s epic novels is finally rolling in for a second round. The Wheel of Time Season 2 picks up shortly after Season 1’s finale, and the drama’s heroes are now in different fascinating, far-flung spots. Rand (Josha Stradowski)—the humble villager who was revealed to be the reincarnated “Dragon Reborn,” destined to either save or sink mankind—has gone into hiding after his battle with an acolyte (Fares Fares) of the villainous Dark One. And Rand’s beloved Egwene (Madeleine Madden) is training, along with her reluctant fellow villager Nynaeve (Zoë Robins), to join the Aes Sedai, an all-female order that controls magic. Their roguish friend Mat is holed up with a most unlikely captor, and hulking pal ...

In season 1 of The Wheel of Time, Moiraine made it clear that there were five possible Dragon Reborn candidates among the young people of Two Rivers, not because they all exhibited use of the One Power, but because the threads of their destiny made them important parts of the Great Pattern weaved by the titular Wheel of Time. Nynaeve and Egwene are learning about their abilities at the White Tower, and Rand is having his own journey of self-discovery… but what about poor Perrin?
Perrin, like the rest of us, is still unsure what he is exactly, and he is perhaps reluctant to embrace the dangerous animalistic rage that resulted in several deaths in The Wheel of Time season 1; however, puzzled viewers are likely eager to learn more about his inner nature. Yes, those who have read the books are in on the secret,...

Episode 3 is so good that it’s going to be hard to wait for an entire week to see what’s coming next. The Wheel of Time Season 2 is going really well right now, and there’s been more depth to the characters, a lot more to learn, and some beautiful scenes to gawk at. Nynaeve’s test to become an Aes Sedai is the highlight of the episode, for sure, but so much more happens in it too! What does Rand want from the false dragon? Will Elayne be able to help Egwene in any way? I’m terribly excited to see what’s coming next for all of them. And will Moiraine be able to get back to them in time to help them?
Spoilers Ahead
What Happens In The Episode?
Nynaeve’s great test begins now, and she’s told that there will be only one way out after she’s inside.
