Now that we've got an entry collecting trailers for the films competing at this year's Venice Film Festival, here's another gathering trailers for films screening in the other sections as well as in the two autonomous programs, Venice Days and International Critics' Week. What we've got here, obviously, is a pretty mixed bag, but here we go:
Out Of Competition
Rolando Colla's Giochi d'estate:
Ugo Gregoretti, Carlo Lizzani, Francesco Maselli and Nino Russo's Scossa:
Tomás Lunák's Alois Nebel:
Kike Maillo's Eva:
Takashi Shimizu's Tormented:
Tony Ching Siu-tung's The Sorcerer and the White Snake:
Steven Soderbergh's Contagion:
Orizzonti
Yves Caumon's L'Oiseau (The Bird):
Clarissa Campolina and Helvecio Marins Jr's Swirl:
Amiel Courtin-Wilson's Hail:
Jonathan Demme's I'm Carolyn Parker: The Good, the Mad and the Beautiful:
And here are a couple more clips.

Usama Alshaibi’s Profane debuted in Berlin last week and the film already garnered a review by Ceven Knowles. To be honest, I haven’t read it yet because I’m waiting to see the film first without preconceptions. But, I think it’s a positive write-up.Actually, there are lots of write-ups coming from the Berlinale. On Electric Sheep, Pamela Jahn and Alison Frank review films Road to Nowhere, The Devil’s Double, Tomboy and Dance Town.Robert Koehler has several write-ups. First, he says Miranda July’s The Future isn’t good, but Marie Losier’s The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye is excellent. Then, this round-up of several films makes the fest sound pretty dismal overall.Kinemastik reviews some Berlinale short films.Clint Enns has a completely excellent review of Jaimz Asmundson’s phenomenal short film The Magus, cluing us in on many of the fine...

Eva Mendes will join Nicolas Cage in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, which, it should be pointed out, is not a remake of the Harvey Keitel movie from the 1990s, although there have to be some similarities, you'd think, or else why keep the name?
Mendes told MTV that the film is a murder mystery set in post-Katrina New Orleans, but that's about all she said regarding the plot. Because, she insists, she doesn't really know how director Werner Herzog's movie will turn out.
"I have no idea what we made in a way because it was so experimental," she said. "I don’t know [what it's gonna wind up being]." One thing it won't be is as explicitly violent or sexual as the NC-17 Bad Lieutenant directed by Abel Ferrara. "There is nothing that I was in this film that was like that," she swears.
