Former NFL running back Ahman Green has been cut again ... this time it's from the upcoming 'Batman v Superman' blockbuster ... but don't fear, you could still see the Packers great on-screen. Green is a huge DC comics fan and 'BvS' director Zach Snyder is a huge Packers fan so when Green hit him up and asked for a spot in the movie ... all things were a go. Ahman shot his scenes as "Thug No. 2" a...

Not long ago came word that the digital home release of Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will sport an R-rating - not a PG-13 like the theatrical version set to hit cinemas in three weeks.
Speaking about what's dubbed the "Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut" with EW, Snyder explained why this extended version was built:
"I'm a parent of young kids, and I feel like I wouldn't want to have a Batman v Superman that I couldn't show to my younger kids, But on the same token, as an adult, I like to see movies that are R-rated. I think nowadays because we have so many means of distribution and ways that we can do different things, it's the creative solution to a creative challenge. You can have multiple versions and I can show my son and my daughters this movie and feel confident that the stuff isn't too crazy,...

The success of Deadpool has paved the way for a new breed of superhero movie, one that can be both lucrative for studios and still respect their potentially bloody origins. While that’s now taking effect with an R-rated Wolverine movie, it looks as if Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still barreling ahead with a PG-13 rating in theaters. But it’s saving all the harder stuff for the R-rated Ultimate Edition.
Is this just a ploy to spin more money from diehard fans? Well, it could be, but director Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck don’t see it that way. Affleck calls the idea to release an adult version of the movie on home video “smart” as a way to appease larger audiences and a subset of fans who prefer their superhero antics served up with a touch more violence.
As for Snyder, here’s the rest...

Last week came word that the home release version of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" would be rated R, and now director Zack Snyder is spilling the details on just what the "ultimate edition" will contain.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Snyder revealed that the R-rated version will be longer (duh). "We were just like, 'Okay, look. We're not making a three-hour movie. I mean, even I didn't want to make a three-hour movie. I drove the cuts probably harder than anyone."
Adding back in scenes, or lengthening existing ones, means the inclusion of characters who ended up on the cutting room floor. One of those is a character played by Jena Malone, who was cut from the theatrical version. Fans had been speculating that Malone might play Batgirl, or even Robin, but Snyder cleared that up.
"She's definitely not Robin or Batgirl. I'm happy to say that,...

I don't know who is behind the marketing for Joe Carnahan's Stretch, which is now available on iTunes and Amazon, but they are definitely going all out and it doesn't appear to be Universal is going anywhere near it. That said, they have definitely captured the attention of the Internet, or, well, at least me as I'm something of a Carnahan fan and this new red band trailer would seem to either convince you to see the movie or keep you very far away from it. amz asin="B00O8O3W4U" size="small"Clearly the intent with Stretch is to see just how crazy and debaucherous things can get on the big screen as Patrick Wilson plays a down-on-his-luck chauffeur looking to relieve himself of some debt when he starts working for a billionaire (Chris Pine) who makes his life hell. That, however, only seems to be...
