Peter Oke is a versatile filmmaker with over 5 years of experience as a director, producer, cinematographer, editor and screenwriter.
His first major production was co-Creating and Directing "Rate The Date", a reality TV show for Accelerate TV (2020). Peter has gone on to deliver commissioned documentaries on government level, including for the Lagos State Resilience Office backed by the Rockefeller Foundation's 100RC program. He has also written and directed a series of short films and created advertisements for companies locally and internationally.
His films have over 10 Film Festival selections with 2 nominations: Best Director at the Standalone Film Festival and Best Short film at Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for "Happy Hour" (2021).
His recent feature, which he directed and produced, is an intimate coming-of-age feature documentary "Boys On The Brink", that focuses on 6 boys (aged 10-25) across six communities in Lagos, Nigeria. For this, he won the Audience Award for Best Feature Documentary in 2024 at the global Political Film Festival.
His ethos is edutainment through compelling and impactful stories displayed with vivid and aesthetically pleasing images.
