- Martins Freimanis was born on February 7, 1977 in Liepaja, Latvian SSR, USSR [now Liepaja, Latvia]. He was an actor and composer, known for Three to Dance (2011), Lauris Reiniks: As Begu (2010) and You're Sexy When You're Sad (2005). He died on January 27, 2011 in Riga, Latvia.
- He represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 as member of the trio F.L.Y. and performed his co-written song "Hello from Mars".
- Martins Freimanis gained popularity as the lead singer of the Latvian music group Tumsa. After his death the group decided to continue playing and invited Valters Fridenbergs to join.
