Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shared a laugh while walking the carpet at the Berlin Film Festival premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey today. Angelina wore a glamorous gold wrap gown while Brad stuck with a simple black suit and tie. Angelina's been busy since the couple and their six kids arrived in Germany earlier this week. She took Maddox, Pax, and Shiloh to Legoland, had tea with Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, and chatted during a press conference earlier today, when she revealed that her next project will be Disney's Maleficent. Brad and Angelina have even more red carpets in their future since they'll be attending the Oscars, where Angelina is a presenter and Brad is nominated for best actor. Make sure to fill out BuzzSugar's Oscars ballot before the big show on Feb. 26 for a chance to win an iPad in a Prada case! View Slideshow...

Angels In America is getting another extension. The cast that includes Zachary Quinto will take their final bow on January 30th. But the new cast includes local favorite Michael Urie, who will step into the role of Prior Walter.
The Illinois House passed a civil unions bill 61-52. Meanwhile, the senate committee pass it on to the next level of consideration, and the governor has pledged to sign it, much to the consternation of Nom.
Shortly after his Today Show appearance, Nate Berkus was rushed to the hospital with appendicitis. He is, as I write this, awaiting surgery, and is expected to be fine. But we’re still sending good vibes his way.

The whistleblower's latest document dump exposes Saudi Arabia's plot against Iran, a corrupt Afghan's $52 million payday, Putin and Berlusconi's "bromance," and more. See nine of the most startling details.
1. Yemen Takes the Fall for U.S. Drones

Leaked documents reveal that Yemen has been covering up for the U.S in the fight against al Qaeda by saying publicly that attacks initiated by the State Department were directed by Yemen. "We'll continue saying the bombs are ours, not yours," Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh told General David Petraeus in January 2010. The coverup, made necessary by severe distrust of the U.S. in the Middle East, prompted Yemen's prime minister to joke about how the president had "lied" to his parliament about the strikes.
2. China Hacked Google-and the Dalai Lama
The Chinese government was behind the much-publicized cyberattack on Google's computer network this year,...

Plus meet Derek on The A List: New York, honoring Alexander McQueen, and Law & Order: Svu tackles a touchy subject.
I was taken in by the Photoshop on the left.
Over the weekend, I was taken in by the above picture Simon Pegg tweeted out of Sir Ian McKellen marching in protest of Pope Benedict's visit to the UK. Sir Ian was marching, but the shirt Simon had him in on the left was fake. Well, the shirt is fake no more, and you can buy your own. They should send Sir Ian one for free. E! has told GLAAD that it will issue an on-air apology tonight on The Daily 10 for the horrible "joke" that guest host Michael Catherwood made about Adam Lambert possibly enjoying prison. No word if Catherwood himself will make the apology. Law & Order: Svu is having guest stars Kevin Alejandro (True Blood, Southland) and Michael Gladis...

Every week we pick the gays who we think have made the biggest splash in television (or pop culture in general) and leave it to you, the keepers of the flame, to decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. We'll announce the winner in Friday's Bgwe column, and that champ will reign until a new set of challengers are introduced the following week to try to steal his title.
Last week, for the second week in a row, Glee's Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) won your hearts and took the crown. But he was somewhat on the back burner for the most recent episode of Glee - opening up the field to four new candidates, including a pair of proud gay das, two globetrotting gay brothers, a German politician, and a chart-topping singer - who doesn't even have an album to sell yet!

Cologne, Germany -- To paraphrase the title of a German political biography from a few years back: The heart of Germany's film industry beats to the left. But while many local producers may personally be gritting their teeth after Sunday's national elections -- which saw center right parties win convincingly -- for the business of filmmaking in Germany, it was a dream result.
After four years in a marriage of convenience with the left-leaning Social Democrats, conservative leader Angela Merkel can look forward to another term as German Chancellor, this time in coalition with the right-of-center, free market liberal party the Fdp.
"We are very hopeful following the election results," Jens Steinbrenner, spokesman for the German Alliance of film and television producers, told The Hollywood Reporter. "The Fdp in particular has always been a reliable partner of the German industry."
The producer's alliance is particularly keen on the Fdp's election...
