Keeley Hawes can be found on the Emmy ballot in three categories: for her leading role in the period piece “The Durrells in Corfu” and her scene-stealing supporting turns in the crime drama “Bodyguard” and the compelling true story “Mrs. Wilson.” She reaped BAFTA bids for the latter two and featured in the Must-See-Moment winner for the shocking scene in which her character on “Bodyguard” is assassinated.
That moment came halfway through the six episodes and was akin to Janet Leigh being killed off in “Psycho.” Like Leigh who was a star in Hollywood’s golden era, Hawes has ruled British TV for the better part of two decades. She was one of the reasons that “Bodyguard” attracted record ratings in the UK (20% of the country watched the finale) and some viewers still refuse to believe that her character is not coming back.
But as Keeley confirms in our interview...

Say goodbye to those bikini bods at the Miss World competition.
For the first time in 63 years, the pageant will no longer feature a swimsuit round in their competition, the organization's chairwoman Julia Morley announced Thursday.
"The organization has decided to take itself out of the swimsuit world because it isn't the path they're trying to take," Chris Wilmer, the national director of Miss World America/Miss United States organization, further explained to ABC News. "It's not just a beauty contest, it's 'beauty with a purpose.' There didn't seem to be a purpose to have the swimsuit."

Instead of the swimsuit round, Miss World contestants will compete in a "beachwear" round, as opposed to sporting bikinis.
"It'll be more of a fashion competition than a bikini show," Wilmer said.

Miss Honduras 2014, Maria Jose Alvarado, and her sister Sofia disappeared six days ago, and police believe they have found their bodies.
Sofia's boyfriend Plutarco Ruiz confessed to killing the siblings, Gen. Ramon Sabillon tells the Associated Press, and even led the Honduras National Police to bodies buried in a river bank around the mountainous terrain of Santa Barbara, 240 miles west of Tegucigalpa.

Though they are waiting for forensics to confirm the bodies are in fact Sofia, 23, and Maria Jose, 19, Sabillon says that the women discovered appear to have been shot to death.
Ruiz claims he killed the women after he saw his girlfriend dancing with another man. He told police that after an intense argument, he pulled out his pistol and fired it at Sofia first and then Maria Jose when she tried to flee the scene. Sabillion believes the beauty queen was shot three times in the back.

There won't be any sexy bikinis gracing the runway at the 2013 Miss World pageant in Jakarta, Bali in September. Pageant organizers announced Thursday (June 6) that the contestants are banned from wearing bikinis and instead will don the traditional Indonesian sarongs instead.
Adjie S. Soeratmadjie tells the AP the pageant is trying to be respectful of the traditional customs and values of the people of Indonesia, which is a largely Muslim country. Most Muslims in Indonesia are more moderate, but recent protests from hard-line Muslim groups are what sparked the change for this year.
"This is a sensitive issue in Indonesia. We have discussed it since last year and they have agreed," says Soeratmadjje.
Julia Morley, chairwoman of the Miss World Organization, adds, "Indonesia is designing for us a very beautiful one-piece beachwear, and I'm very happy with them. ... We like to work in the manner respectful to every country, and...

In a nod to Indonesia's Muslim population, the Miss World beauty pageant is shedding the bikinis for more conservative wear this September, the Australian Associated Press reports.
"I don't want to upset or get anyone in a situation where we are being disrespectful," Miss World Organization chairwoman Julia Morley told the outlet.
Revealing swimsuits are a staple of Miss World, and they fit into host site Bali's bikini-rich beaches, the article notes. Instead, the 137 contestants will now wear traditional Bali sarongs.
The pageant is covering up in the wake of growing hardliner objections and controversy ignited by a scheduled Lady Gaga visit last year, according to outlets. The singer canceled a show when extremists, branding her a "devil worshipper" in part for her skimpy attire, threatened to torch the venue if she performed.

Thirty-seven years ago, Helen Morgan from Wales won the Miss World 1974 title at age 22. Four days later, she was forced to surrender her crown when a tabloid paper ran stories that she was an unmarried mother and that she'd had an affair with a married man.
She was the first Miss World ever to quit, though she denied the allegations. This year, she is returning to watch the competition for the first time since she was exiled.
She says she felt betrayed by the media at the time. "I was very naive. I thought everything you read in the paper was true. That was the biggest shock to me, the way that the media worked. It was a bit of a circus," she tells the Independent. "I was exhausted, and felt physically ill. When something like that happens you'd rather go away for a while, dig a little hole and jump into it.
