One of our worst experiences was going to Detroit and playing for four people after driving six hours. It was so ridiculous we couldn't be angry. We laughed through the whole show.
The Beatles are the big one, but all those bands are great. It was about feeling something then. I don't even classify a lot of today's bands as rock. A better word might be crap.
There's always a bit of friction and fighting, especially on tour when everyone's sick or hungover, but we're continuously able to get over that because it's basically four guys who love music.
There's less importance placed on fashion and media. You get in it to play live, not to be a celebrity.
We're too young to always know what the right step is, but we'll keep going. I wouldn't call us arrogant, but we do have a lot of faith in ourselves.
