Originality, inspiration, heart, life lessons, and exciting animation, Big Hero 6 has it all as the first big screen collaboration between Marvel Studios and Disney Animation.
Welcome to San Fransokyo, where technology and robotics have become part of the nuts and bolts of our culture. Tadashi Hamada (Daniel Henney) is a student at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. He invented and developed Baymax, a personal healthcare robot who is amazing not only for his thorough service, but he is inflatable. But this story is less about them, and more about Hiro (Ryan Potter), Tadashi’s 14-year old brother, who likes to dwell in the underground, back-alley bot fights, hustling for money. He uses his big brains in ways that will get him by, but never ahead. Tadashi takes Hiro under his wing and takes him to his university, to meet his classmates, to introduce him to technology icons, to...

Big Hero 6
Directed by Dan Hall and Chris Williams
Written by Robert L. Baird, Jordan Roberts and Daniel Gerson
USA, 2014
Loosely inspired by an obscure series of Marvel comics, Disney’s Big Hero 6 is here to firmly shut the door on Let It Go’s last dying breath with an unlikely origin story that merges the emotional core we’ve come to expect from the House of Mouse, with a splashy, manga-like aesthetic and millenial sensibility. From the vibrant cosmopolitan mash-up San Fransokyo, where the story takes place, to the technologic conundrum of research development versus sale for immediate gain that protagonist Hiro (Ryan Potter) faces, Big Hero 6 weaves together a compelling futuristic adventure comedy with surprising deftness.
Hiro is a messy-haired, hoody-wearing fourteen year-old high school graduate who, initially, squanders his smarts building robots and entering them in illegal fights. His older and more polished brother...

Walt Disney Animation Studios today announced the star voice cast to their upcoming film Big Hero Six and surprisingly, there appears to be no standout A-list star in any major role. On top of all that new information, there's a brand new movie trailer for you to feast your eyes on as well!
[Editor's Update: Disney/Marvel have now revealed an all new trailer for the film, so we figured we'd go ahead and post these all together!
Original article and all the cast information follows below.]
This is not to say any of the actors or actresses are inexperienced as much as it appears the studio is selling the characters themselves over the people who voice them. Most of the performers appear to be up and comers but with an impressive track record of working on big budget projects. However, the list does show James Cromwell and SNL alum Miya Rudolph in supporting roles to round out the cast.
Director Don Hall said of the cast: We’re so impressed with what these performers...
