The sculptor Nikola Stanchev was born on December 11, in 1943 in Dobrich, Bulgaria. Stanchev has lived from 1971 in Burgas, Bulgaria. He had art exhibitions in Sofia, Burgas, Rotterdam and Amersford, Netherlands.
From 1976 to 1979 he had organized the International Symposium of Sculpture in stone outdoors in Burgas. Over 140 works of participants arranged the sculpture exhibition in the open sea park of Burgas. He is the author of the input signal of Burgas, plastic composition to the Theatre of Opera and Ballet - Burgas, the monument of the poet Hristo Fotev, sculptures in front of the municipality of Burgas and the station square, the water mirror sculpture in front of the Regional Council - Burgas, the monument of Macedonian refugees in Nessebar and a monument to the singer Georgi Minchev in Sozopol.
