This article contains The King’s Man spoilers.
Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man is on streaming now. That’s a quick turnaround since its Christmastime release last year, but perhaps it’s for the best. With the largely underappreciated (and under-seen) Kingsman prequel making its debut on HBO Max and Hulu, there’s a chance the strange action mash-up may finally find its audience.
Indeed, the film’s pitch always seemed a bit niche, even for this franchise. By eschewing the modern class conflict of the first two Kingsman movies, which created a dynamic of “street” versus posh spy, the World War I-set The King’s Man travels back in time more than a hundred years to tell a story that has more in common with Rudyard Kipling novels than Ian Fleming. The King’s Man is about the last gasps of the Empire, and a global conflict that destroyed the 19th century world order,...

This doc is packed with facts about the assassination – the subject of Stone’s 1991 movie – yet is frustratingly short on answers
On and on and on it goes. After 30 years, Oliver Stone has released this documentary as a kind of update or companion piece to his gripping 1991 feature JFK, which starred Kevin Costner as the New Orleans Da Jim Garrison, who attempted to test the alleged conspiracy in court. Stone’s film dramatically reopened the debate and single-handedly made conspiracy-theorising a socially and intellectually respectable pastime on the liberal left.
Nowadays, the conspiracy enthusiasts are on the right: the QAnoners, the anti-vaxxers and the 5G-mast obsessives. This new movie presents us with a mountain of new circumstantial evidence about the events in Dallas in 1963. With the benefit of innumerable newly released documents and newly uncovered interviewee records, it exhaustively and persuasively shows that there are screamingly obvious inconsistencies and anomalies...

After orchestrating a Secret Service and inviting viewers into the Golden Circle, it seems writer-director Matthew Vaughn is getting ready now to take his boisterous Kingsman series back to the past.
For a while, we’ve heard that along with a third film in the current trilogy, Vaughn was also looking to do a prequel titled Kingsman: The Great Game and finally, it’s beginning to come together. From what we know so far, it’ll be set during World War I with the protagonist being a man named Conrad, who’s described as “a cocky young son of a British Duke determined to serve his country, who finds himself thrust into the midst of the world of espionage with some of history’s most dangerous spies and assassins.”
That role will be played by 22-year old British actor Harris Dickinson, and now, we have some updates on who’ll join him.
