The producer of "The Biggest Loser" takes weight loss program to a new level. Dave Broome teams up with "Pimp My Ride" producer Rick Hurvitz to create a reality show about overweight couple working hard to lose pounds before their wedding day approaches. The first sneak peek to the show has just been released.
10 couples are subject to a series of challenges to win a dream wedding as well as ideal weight. Some of the physical games are similar to "Biggest Loser" but some are wedding-related such as carrying a four-tiered wedding cake back and fourth, and doing ballroom dancing. The prizes are also about weddings like cake, rings and invitations.
The contestants are working with trainers and nutritionists while meeting wedding planners. The couple with the lowest amount of weight loss at the weigh-in would be eliminated. And the last standing couple would be awarded with a "fantasy wedding that America will attend.

NEW YORK -- IMG Entertainment has hired Beresford Redman and Rick Hurvitz, the team that created MTV's "Pimp My Ride", to develop and produce nonscripted shows for the growing unit of the sports, entertainment and media company.
Redman and Hurvitz will be based in Los Angeles and report to Olivier Gers, who recently came on board as senior vp, global head new media and co-head of IMG Entertainment.
"They're two young, smart producers with a great eye for formats and production," Gers said.
MTV said last week that it is wrapping "Pimp My Ride" after its current season, which began Sunday. The show has been a success on MTV, has been televised in 108 countries and been the basis of six international programs. Gers said that's just the kind of production and global distribution that IMG Entertainment is looking for in the future.
The Emmy-nominated Redman also has been co-executive producer of NBC's "The Contender" and CBS' "Survivor 8: All Stars". Hurvitz also has been producer for NBC's "For Love or Money" and Fox's "Married by America".
IMG Entertainment is in a building mode.
