- Aleksandr Popkov was born in 1976 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was an actor, known for Belye odezhdy (1991), Zveroboy (2009) and Kamenskaya: Muzhskie igry (2002). He died on January 13, 2011 in New Delhi, India.
- He was violently murdered in New Delhi, India, in January 2011. The Indian authorities have never been forthcoming about the exact circumstances of his death. But an independent investigation conducted by his father, director Nikolay Glinskiy, indicated that a young woman, possibly a lover, was involved somehow.
