Given how well The Lego Movie did in theatres, it’s really no surprise that multiple spinoffs have been ordered up. The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Ninjango Movie are just two of those spinoffs and now, we know the voice cast of the latter.
Headlining the film will be an exciting roster of talent, with Jackie Chan, Dave Franco, Olivia Munn and Justin Theroux leading the way, with support from Zach Woods, Kumail Ninjiani, Abbi Jacobson, Fred Armisen and Michael Pena. Charlie Bean will be making his directorial debut here, with a screenplay from Hilary Winston, Bob Logan and Paul Fisher.
Considering the actors involved in the project, it’s fair to say that this is going to be one hell of a funny film, and while it’s unfortunate that Phil Lord and Chris Miller aren’t back behind the camera, we’re confident that the spinoff is in good hands.

The CW hasn’t been able to successfully launch a reality series in its 6-year history. (Long-running hit America’s Next Top Model originated on Upn.) Now the network is making its biggest effort to date with the midseason fashion docu series Remodeled, which will blanket the CW schedule for 2 weeks in January and push back the returns of 91010 and Ringer. Remodeled, which will bridge the two cycles of Top Model, was originally slated to premiere in Top Model’s Wednesday 9 Pm slot on Jan. 18, following an original One Tree Hill. The debut has now been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 17, when Remodeled will follow the return of 90210, which is being held back a week to help launch the new series. The premiere episode of Remodeled will be rerun twice that week, in the show’s regular Wednesday 9 Pm slot after Oth and on Friday at 8 Pm, replacing Nikita, which was slated to air a repeat.

The network will heavily promote its upcoming series, Remodeled, airing its premiere on January 17; multiple reruns throughout the week; and then its second episode on January 24. The fallout from this decision?
90210 will not return with new episodes until January 17, while Ringer will be delayed until January 31.

Ringer fans will have to wait a little longer before fresh episodes resume in the new year.
Why? The CW is double-pumping its new reality series, Remodeled (premiering Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 9/8c), by slotting multiple original and repeat installments during its first two weeks on the air.
As a result, Ringer will now resume with new episodes three weeks behind schedule on Jan. 31. Additionally, 90210‘s return has been pushed back a week to Jan. 17.
The good news: The delay means that Ringer will run nearly repeat-free through May.

The CW’s upfront news was filled with lots more reality shows and the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar to TV with Ringer. The network aimed at the 18-34 demo is hoping something from this bunch helps fill the hole of Smallville. But first let’s get to what’s coming back and what we can lay to rest.
Renewed
Longtime CW stalwart One Tree Hill is coming back for a ninth season. Also, Bubble show Nikita has been officially renewed for a second season despite losing nearly 30% of its early season audience. Nikita has done well internationally though as the Nikita brand, spinning off of the Luc Besson film, Le Femme Nikita film and the Lfn television show starring Peta Wilson, has given the show an added boost. People want to see more of Maggie Q and Lyndsy Fonseca kicking ass even if they have to suffer through Shane West’s gravely voice.

The CW is finally showing it’s hand this upfronts season, and the cards they’ve drawn look mighty familiar — and we mean that in the best possible way.

Everyone is proceeding with great enthusiasm. The script is still being revised by Tony Kushner and our plans are now to shoot the picture later this year." The film is budgeted at $50 million and even EW reports they heard not only Paramount, but "other major studios" had passed on the feature as well. I can't help but think the script must have some serious...
