Arsha Ovanesova(1906-1990)

Arsha Amartsumovna Ovanesova was Armenian Soviet and worked as a film director, screenplay writer, and actress from 1929 to 1958. She was known for her documentary films, short films, and adventure films. From 1931 to 1961, Ovanesova was the director of Soyuzkinohronika (now known as the Central Documentary Film Studio, Moscow).
Ovanesova died on May 6, 1990 and is buried in the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow. She was survived by her husband, Soviet cameraman Semyon Alterovich Sheinin (1907/1908-1994).
