Evelyn Labruce was born in 1929 in the USA. She was an actress, known for Der Rosenkavalier (1961) and Die Hochzeit des Figaro (1963). She was married to Jack Waldheim. She died on September 15, 2006 in Georgetown, South Carolina, USA.
She was a mezzo-soprano who studied at the Universitat Mozarteum in
Salzburg, Austria, and performed in Europe, including the Salzburg
Music Festival. She joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin,
where she taught singing for several years.
