When you think of swords and knights and blood being spilled on the battlefield, you don’t usually think about fashion, but Game of Thrones’ Renly Baratheon proves that he can handle stylish flair even when dressed for battle.
Our latest behind-the-scenes look of Game of Thrones Season 2 gives us a little insight into just how much work goes into making the hit HBO series look as awesome as possible. In the video clip below, Costume Designer Michele Clapton and Costume Armor Supervisor Simon Brindle talk about some of the work that went into giving Renly some armor with flair. I didn’t know the knights of old had such intricate armor but the velvet cloak apparently isn’t as far-fetched as it might initially seem.
