Has played for the Texas Rangers on three different occasions
(1989-1995, 2000-2002 and 2004-), He has also played for the New York
Yankees (1996-1997), Oakland Athletics (1998-1999), New York Mets (1999)
and Minnesota Twins (2003).
Has two children, daughter Jessica (b. 1993) and son Trevor (b. 1997).
He was originally supposed to be traded to the San Diego Padres with
Mariano Duncan for Greg Vaughn, the deal fell through due to Vaughn's
bad shoulder. Rogers was dealt to the Oakland A's at the end of the
season for Scott Brosius who was a key cog of the Yankees infield
during their three-peat.
Children: Jessica Lynn (b. 21 November 1993); son Trevor (b. 25 March
1997).
Has gotten roasted by the media in recent years for shoving a
photographer (June 2005) and having a foreign substance on his pitching
hand (2006 World Series).
