Will Packer Productions has sold “Me Time,” a comedy pitch from Ken Marino and Erica Oyama, to Universal Pictures, the studio announced Friday. While the plot is being kept under wraps, “Me Time” is described as a female two-hander road comedy in the vein of “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.” Packer will produce, while Barbara Dreyfus will executive produce. Universal's Erik Baiers will oversee the project for the studio. Ride Along producer Will Packer has hired UTA motion picture literary agent Barbara Dreyfus as head of motion pictures for his new Will Packer Productions.
The company recently signed a three-year, first-look deal at Universal and is riding high on the back of the record $48.6m four-day Mlk holiday number one launch of Ride Along.
Dreyfus has spent the last 13 years at UTA representing writers, directors and producers and prior to that she was an agent at ICM for eight years in the motion picture literary department.
Packer’s 2014 slate includes the remake of About Last Night starring Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Hart and Joy Bryant, thriller No Good Deed starring Idris Elba and Taraji P Henson and sequel Think Like A Man Too.
UTA and attorney Matt Johnson at Ziffren Brittenham represent Will Packer Productions.

Based at Universal, Packer’s new company is off to a great start with “Ride Along,” which grossed $48 million over the holiday weekend.
