Get ready to flash back before we move forward. Three clips from this week's Grey's Anatomy offer glimpses of some of the events that transpired before the tragedy we saw unfold in last week's Season 9 premiere.
In the first scene, Derek and Callie strategize about his hand. In the second, Mark and Jackson share a funny, heartfelt exchange, one all the more bittersweet given what we know happens to McSteamy.
As Mark himself realized after Lexie died, “If you love someone, tell them.” Will Jackson take his mentor's words to heart? We'll see. Topping this emotionally is the third sneak peek, featuring Callie and Arizona.
The injured Dr. Robbins begs, pleads and cries to her wife to save her leg, whatever the cost. “Please don’t give up on me!” she exclaims, hysterically. We all know how this plays out as well, and it isn't good.

Not making that Comic-Con leap of faith was enough to raise concerns, and any worries have been solidified by Variety. All of Peter Jackson‘s kowtowing to the format now being something of a big exception, they tell us Warner Bros. have decided to give The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘s 48fps presentation — are you ready? you may not be — a limited run. So limited, actually, that it might “not even [go] into all major cities.”
Ouch. For one of 2012′s biggest films, in its director’s preferred format, to get “downgraded” like that? Ouch.
And it’s not as if Warner Bros. are disowning the format, much less halting their future plans. This is, evidently, a method being taken in order to “protect the format”; putting it into this sort of release — one that only attracts the curious filmgoer — will allow for what Variety summarizes as market testing. You could read easily that as,...

Get the Dawson's Creek DVDs out and start quoting some of the best Pacey Witter lines. Or, do like what I just did and watch as many YouTube videos as possible to celebrate the day! Celebrate what exactly? Well, it's Joshua Jackson's birthday today! The Fringe actors turns 34 so we decided to head down memory lane for the special occasion.
Pacey is a known favorite at Ology. Remember when he finally made the official move on Joey? Remember when we wanted him to actually be counting down to 10 to us instead and when he foreshadowed the "friendship" he and Joey would eventually be embarking on together? Man, those were the days. Kevin Williamson, how you've ruined us so.

"My dear, dear friends, what would I do without you?" Oh Tad, we have no idea!
But before we let our tears flow freely, there is plenty to discuss. All My Children series creator Agnes Nixon was not kidding when she told TVGuide.com last month that her long-running soap would end — at least on ABC — with several big cliff-hangers. Going into Friday's final broadcast episode, major questions loomed: Is Stuart going to survive? Who is the other patient Dixie saw while under David's care? Will Jackson finally leave Erica? UPDATEHere's another big non-surprise: Peter Jackson is being asked to come back for "The Hobbit." My sources say that nobody has been offered the helming job -- yet. Instead, Warner Bros and MGM brass are doing all they can to sell Jackson on the seemingly obvious notion that he should complete the franchise he started with three Lotr films that grossed $2.9 billion worldwide. Particularly since he co-wrote the scripts for the two Hobbit movies and already is producing and can shoot both in his backyard. Warner Bros and MGM braintrust will keep pursuing him until Jackson gives a definitive no. Should Jackson do it? Well, on the one hand, it will give the series a greater sense of symmetry. But on the other, I can understand Jackson's reluctance to compete against himself, or even worse, simply repeat himself without a viable challenge. Will Jackson do it? If ego comes into play,...

Here is Del Toro in his own words: “In light of ongoing delays in the setting of a start date for filming 'The Hobbit,' I am faced with the hardest decision of my life. When movie lovers think of a lone hero trapped in a high-rise controlled by bad guys, the classic Bruce Willis actioner Die Hard comes to mind. Released in 1988, the film made Willis more than just that guy from Moonlighting and started a new genre, the contained space action movie. Soon other films were copying Die Hard's spatial premise with thrillers of their own that became “Die Hard on a _____”. Die Hard wasn't the first film to have this premise – The Big Clock (1948) later remade as No Way Out (1987) comes to mind – just the first to do it really well. About a year prior, Charlie Band, who would strike gold with the Dtv Puppet Master horror films, produced a small action movie set in New York about an insurance salesman who finds himself in a Die Hard situation with a local gang. Garry Frank plays Barry, an insurance salesman who's...
