We’re really enjoying the sweet TV treat Top Chef: Just Desserts. The delicious spinoff from the savory Top Chef series features akitchen full of cupcake and chocolate making culinary contestants baking theirhearts out for the top prize. And among the hopefuls is Danielle Keene—the29-year-old pastry chef and owner of Bittersweet, who resides in SouthPasadena, California.
According to her bio, Danielle has trained at some of L.A.’sfinest restaurants including Water Grill, Campanile, and A.O.C. But it’s theIce Cream Shoppe Night’s that she started at Wilshire restaurant that put heron the city’s very competitive culinary map.
Now, she has her own online business called Bittersweet. Thesnack-cravers dream destination offers everything from cookies to cakes to fullblown ice cream socials delivered to your home.
So far, Danielle has been maintaining a steady spot in the middle ground of Top Chef: Just Desserts.

Chicago – FX has picked up the network’s freshman comedy series “The League”. The network has decided to expand the next season to 13 episodes, announced Nick Gad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, FX Networks.
Season two will return in summer 2010. The first season finale of “The League” will air tomorrow, Thursday December 10, at 10:30 pm Et/Pt. “We’ve been very pleased with the creative and ratings trajectory of The League and believe it’s an excellent fit with our comedy brand,” said Grad. “Jackie and Jeff Schaffer are incredibly talented producers and the ensemble cast is fantastic. The performance of the show this season is reminiscent of Sunny in its first season.”

Chicago – FX may have finally found a partner for the great “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” in the just-as-raunchy “The League,” a show that’s basically about how guys like to give each other sh*t. On message boards, over a few drinks, at a family picnic - there are groups of guys everywhere who live to bust each other’s balls. If you can’t handle it, don’t suit up for “The League”.

NEW YORK -- Cuba Gooding Jr. has signed to star in John Carter's action thriller "The Way of War", playing a paramilitary operative who goes on a rampage after discovering a war conspiracy.
Principal photography begins this week in Baton Rouge, La. Richie Salvatore of Two Sticks Prods., Dave Pomier and Scott Schafer will produce from Schafer's script. Nick Thurlow, Jordan Kessler and David Orenstein will executive produce.
"With his intensity and ability to take a character to the edge, the part is tailor-made for Cuba, and we're excited to have him aboard," Thurlow said. "John Carter and Scott Schafer have crafted a political thriller with deep resonance for our times."
"War" was packaged by the Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group in conjunction with Upload Media and Salvatore/Orenstein Prods. Upload is financing in conjunction with Capital City Entertainment.
Production services will be provided by Baton Rouge-based Louisiana Media Production, which also partnered with Upload on "Mama, I Want to Sing" and "A Good Man Is Hard to Find", set for release through Jeff Clanagan's Codeblack Entertainment.
