- Jerry Nolan died from a stroke on Jan. 14, 1992, at age 45. Billy Murcia died of accidental suffocation Nov. 6, 1972, in London, England, at age 21 (he had partied after a show the night before and passed out in bed from a combination of drugs and alcohol; his girlfriend tried to wake him up by pouring coffee down his throat, which suffocated him).
