I never thought I could do so many things while watching American Idol. Last night, for instance, I found myself chopping some tomatoes and onions for a quick salsa. I was also watching CNN (in between ad breaks, of course) to catch up on the Egyptian impasse. And I went to the toilet at least four times, since I had at least four glasses of water, because I found myself drifting off...
Hey, maybe I should devote today's Honor Roll to us Idol fans who sat through the atrocity that was the Los Angeles auditions! I wonder how many people made it to Hollywood? I also wonder why people who went to audition in Los Angeles insist that they'll be going to Hollywood with whatever passed off as talent -- when they can just go there and see the sights since they're in La anyway? (I'm talking to you, Human Tornado guy.

American Idol hit up Los Angeles for the season 10 auditions Feb. 3 and found no one memorable! How could that be the case in the second largest city in the country?
I feel like American Idol just stole an hour of my life and I want it back. Tonight my favorite reality show headed to the City of Angels to find some talent for season 10, but apparently it didn’t look hard enough — we wound up with no noteworthy contestants. Actually, scratch that. We met the Human Tornado…
“The Human Tornado,” formerly known as Cooper Robinson, claims he’s a street performer from somewhere deep in Arkansas. He’s not sure how old he is, but he tells the judges he thinks he’s approximately 59 years old and then proceeds to sing/yell/butcher James Browns‘ legendary hit, “I Feel Good.”
Thanks, Fox — we waited an entire episode to witness this gem.

At last count, there are close to 80 movies slated for release in the next four months, not including the off studio independents, heralded foreign imports, and frequent film festival surprises. As the transition from summer's popcorn pleasantries to fall's forced import begins, it's often hard to get a handle on what, exactly, deserves your dollars - and more significantly, your precious entertainment attention span. The push towards Awards season consequence is always complicated. Release dates shuffle, perspectives shift, and what seemed like a sure thing only a few weeks ago can fade into oblivion faster than a Will Farrell take on a classic Saturday morning kid's show from the '70s. With that in mind, Se&L has been sizing up the offerings on tap for the next 17 weeks, and we've complied our very own Top 10 Must-See titles. Now, this is not an attempt to gauge the best films of the year,...

It's Thanksgiving week, meaning the holidays are actually here now, in all their actualness. But even more exciting - the new holiday menus are in at all of our theaters! We've got turkey burgers, fried brie, samosas, and apple pecan turnovers on the holiday special menu, but it doesn't stop there. The innovations keep on going on the inside of the menu, too, with the return of this summer's batwings as well as brand new fried pork chops. And... Christmas beers are in! Oh, and of course we've got all sorts of Thanksgiving menu specials this Thursday, too, including complete turkey dinners at all of our theaters. In other words - don't fill up with your family meal, because that's sooooo just the beginning.
