It's like an episode of "Gossip Girl" on crack -- very, very bad crack. A New York fashionista jumped to her death Feb. 6 from the George Washington Bridge, leaving behind a designer handbag containing a handwritten manifesto about which of her frenemies should be banned from her funeral.
Ashley Riggitano was a jewelry designer and an intern for Alex Woo, Tommy Hilfiger, and Nicole Miller. She committed suicide on her 22nd birthday amid a nasty Facebook fight over a male acquaintance, according to reports by the New York Post.
Aspiring race car driver Drew Heissenbuttel was at the center of the online feud between Ashley and a woman named Alison Tinari, who apparently turned over the Facebook message exchange to the Post. One of the notes from Tinari said to Riggitano, "Go try to kill yourself on Xanax again, you unstable loser. Go f*** yourself and never speak to me again.

Given the fact that costume designer Patricia Field's outrageous but brilliant Carrie Bradshaw outfits on Sex and the City are legendary, it's safe to say that expectations are pretty high for the wardrobe a young Carrie (played by AnnaSophia Robb) Bradshaw will sport in the 80s-set Carrie Diaries.
Luckily, experienced costume desiger Eric Daman (who's responsible for all the gorgeous Gossip Girl looks) is taking the reigns, and is dishing on all the awesome looks to come!
First Look: The New Carrie Bradshaw
"Well the show takes place in the 80's so Stephanie Savage [the show's creator] and I decided to create a sense of 'aspirational authenticity' because the 80’s were really decadent and as for as clothing goes, you want to make it very modern -- we wanted to inject freshness," he tells Fashionista.com.
And fans will be happy to know that the new show will definitely include a nod to the infamous "Carrie necklace."

This is one hell of a cool animated short film called Rex Steele: Nazi Smasher. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was watching this, and I'd love to see the adventures of Rex Steele continue. Check out the short below and tell us what you think! The short was directed by Alexander Woo using traditional animation, it obviously was inspired by Indiana Jones, and it's based on the Matt Peters and Pixar artist Bill Presing's graphic novel. This main character is like a mix of Bruce Campbell and Nathan Fillion. Check out the short film below and tell us what you think! ...

Earlier this week, I had a few minutes to speak with co-director Keith Scholey about the experience of filming the extraordinary story of African Cats out in the African savanna. .First of all we had a great team working with us and out in the Masai Mara, there are many great camps and resources that were most helpful. Everyone worked really incredibly together and that made it a little easier to be out there for the couple of years it took to film this story..
I asked Scholey about some of the challenges they faced in trying to stay with the animals, or .characters. in the narrative:
.With such a huge time commitment with these animals, the biggest fear is that after all that filming, they just disappear and you lose track of them. Over the few years that we were out there filming, we had great field teams and...

Composer Ryan Shore is one of the rising stars of the film music world. Thanks to his collaborations with MovieScoreMedia, more and more of his scores are now available to the public. Headspace, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer and the Macedonian movie Senki (Shadows) are just a number of titles available from their catalogue. In the summer, Msm released a three-way collection of jazzy scores from Ryan's career: Numb, Kettle of Fish and Coney Island Baby are just pure fun to listen to. Now a new collection is available, collecting together a wide range of short film scores from Ryan's earlier days. The award winning animated shorts include the much-requested Rex Steele: Nazi Smasher, the Claymation short Shadowplay and the dark comedy Cadaverous. What connects together these scores apart from being written by the same composer is that you'd never think they were written for short films - they could underscore...

On September 8, Varése Sarabande releases a CD from Nathan Barr's original score to the hit series True Blood. Now there's already a True Blood CD out there, but don't confuse the two - the disc by Elektra/Warner Bros. contains only the songs from the show and nothing from Barr's music. The new disc (pictured on the right) finally changes the situation and will feature 45 minutes of the Southern swampy tunes by the composer, not to mention to highly demanded songs: "Take Me Home" and "Sancto Erico", both of which underscore crucial scenes in the series. In the following interview you get to know all about Barr's music, his collaboration with Lisbeth Scott on the songs and a recent epidemic that's plagueing the world of television composers - namely not receiving any money from the online viewed episodes of your favourite television shows.
