He has written four novels, several film and theater scripts, and over 250 articles published in national newspapers and magazines.
He has lived for long periods in Buenos Aires, Caracas, Barcelona and Washington DC. In mid-2019 he moved to New York.
He lived for over a decade in Washington, working as an associate professor at Georgetown University at at the Center for Latin American Studies.
Brodsky is a writer, university professor, scriptwriter, critic, and author of op-eds.
He was awarded the 2007 Jaén Prize for Best Novel and the 2009 Martin Nuez Award, both for his 2008 novel Bosque Quemado (Burnt Forest).
