Robert Scoville
- Art Department
- Set Decorator
- Producer
With over 34 years in the film industry Robert has amassed a wealth of experience working on over 300 productions in various roles, most notably as an Indie Producer, Art Director and Set Decorator. The films he has worked on have grossed over $850 million at worldwide box offices. Some films include, Jason Bourne (2016), Last Vegas (2013) and All Eyez on Me (2017). Also including the current hit TV show on the Fox Network, The Cleaning Lady (2022).
At a peak in his career Robert has now turned to Documentary filmmaking. His Doc Filmmaker brand is, Telling Truth with Context and Clarity. With the advent of the internet on a global scale, and social media providing outlets for everyone to think their opinion is the ultimate truth, Robert is driven to shine a light on "where truths begin." He is developing a series of documentaries showcasing issues that affect broad swaths of the population. Issues in flux, such as: policing, income inequality, corporate and political lobbying, inadequate educational funding, and seeking accountability in our legal system. He is driven to disentangle the web of deception that seems to slant much of today's news and social media beliefs. He has an innovative approach that will build-bridges through necessary but uncomfortable conversations.
Although he feels pressed by this insatiable desire to bring think-tanks together, his wife and children depend on him to step back from his assumed "Superman-mode" and take them to far off galaxies or wondrous fantasy worlds for family movie nights on the fancy home furnishings he built, to eat his homemade Korean meals.
Robert is married to writer/actor Joël René. They were married in 1994, 2006 and 2021. You can get a glimpse of that unique story through a web series Joël wrote, and Robert is producing, called "Crazy With a K (2019)". They are partners in Numinous Films, LLC., the Black Woman owned production company behind this series.
