Updated with statement: After a story this week from Deadline’s sister publication Rolling Stone detailed allegations against Oscar-winner F. Murray Abraham, the actor has issued a statement on the matter, the text of which Deadline has confirmed with his representative.
“This is a sincere and deeply felt apology,” reads Abraham’s statement.
It goes on to reference Lionsgate’s decision last year not to bring him back for Season 3 of Mythic Quest. “Though never my intention to offend anyone, I told jokes, nothing more, that upset some of my colleagues and as a result lost a great job with wonderful people.”
It continues, “I have grown in my understanding from this experience, and I hope they will forgive me.”
Previously on April 19: The Mythic Quest team will be one key member short, with F. Murray Abraham leaving the series before it returns for Season 3.

While the number of truly great video game adaptations is tragically small, the fact of the matter is that there’s still a bit of a gold rush for familiar properties. As such, it seems that every studio and streaming service in the world is looking to adapt one video game or another.
Seriously, the number of video game adaptations currently in some stage of development is insane. You may occasionally hear about some video game adaptation popping up here and there, but it’s hard to fully grasp the extent of this movement until you see every adaptation listed in one place. As such, that’s what we’re here to do.
Before we dive into the list, though, please note that there is a truly ridiculous number of video game adaptations possibly in development at this time. That being the case, we will not only be updating this article as needed,...

Apple today unveiled a first-look teaser for the third season of its critically acclaimed workplace comedy Mythic Quest, which is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ this fall.
The series created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz follows a group of video game developers tasked with building worlds, molding heroes and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office. While its second season watched as the company’s creative director Ian Grimm (McElhenney) and co-creative director Poppy Li (Charlotte Nicdao) departed to pursue their own venture, today’s teaser promised that this decision has actually “changed nothing.”
This time around, Ian and Poppy will continue to navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios, with Dana (Imani Hakim) being forced to play mediator to her bosses’ incessant bickering. Back at Mythic Quest, David...

It's been a long wait, but Blue Bloods Season 12 premieres in less than a month.
CBS has now dropped a batch of photos for Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 1, titled "Hate Is Hate," and it teases a lot of pivotal scenes ahead for fans of the beloved procedural.
The good news is that the photos tease the Reagan family dinners we've come to expect from the series.
It's nice to know that, in the midst of so many changes in the world, they still put everything aside to come to dinner in the name of connecting with one another.
So, we can expected the family to sip on fine wine, eat good food, and crack some wild jokes, which might be some much-needed respite from the darkness infused throughout the rest of the season premiere.

From “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” which pulled in $433 million globally in 2019, to “Sonic the Hedgehog,” which grossed $319.7 million worldwide last year before the pandemic shut down theaters, the message is clear: Gamers and nongamers alike are looking to explore their favorite video game characters and narratives in different mediums.
Gaming developers are getting in on the action as well, forming production arms to work with networks and Hollywood studios to build on their established franchises. What comes after “Raven’s Banquet?” “The Crow’s Dessert,” perhaps? Maybe “Corvus’ Early Bedtime?” Ok, good ideas are clearly lacking, but I’m not alone: Ian (played by Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) are also at a loss when it comes to following up “Mythic Quest’s” last expansion pack, and they’ll need a name as awe-inspiring as “Raven’s Banquet” if they want to keep their hit video game at the top of the charts.
Thus is the early conundrum introduced in “Mythic Quest” Season 2, the follow-up to McElhenney’s well-received Apple TV+ comedy, as well as its highly praised quarantine episode from last summer. Fans can get an early glimpse at Ian and Poppy’s brainstorming process in the new teaser-trailer below, and they’ll be able to dig into the first full episode when Season 2 premieres Friday, May 7.

In what’s surely going to win the non-existent prize for today’s most unexpected announcement in the world of television, Netflix’s newly-official Assassin’s Creed series is already proving to be a hot topic on social media.
As confirmed by the streaming platform earlier today, this adaptation, unlike 20th Century Fox’s universally panned film, is being developed in direct collaboration with creator Ubisoft, with head of the company’s film & TV division, Jason Altman, on board to serve as executive producer alongside Danielle Kreinik. Unfortunately, as far as official details go, that’s all we know so far, so audiences hoping to learn specifics with regard to setting, characters and cast members will no doubt be required to exercise patience for the time being, especially as the production has yet to even secure a showrunner.

Exclusive: Michael Chernus has joined the cast in Werewolves Within, the horror comedy being directed by Scare Me helmer Josh Ruben. The film, based on Ubisoft’s virtual reality video game, was adapted by screenwriter and author Mishna Wolff and stars Veep‘s Sam Richardson.
The Werewolves Within game is set in a fictitious medieval town where a werewolf is attacking the townspeople, and players must guess who among them is the werewolf in disguise. The plot of the movie: Shenanigans ensue when a massive blizzard isolates a small Vermont town, causing simmering resentments to boil over as the oddball townspeople are one by one picked off by a mysterious creature.
Chernus will play Pete, who is married to Trish but does not share her beliefs as staunchly. He considers himself a charmer, but just comes off as an overly friendly sleaze who can get a bit handsy especially after a glass of merlot.

Apple TV Plus’ new series “Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet” may be a comedy about the video game industry, but that doesn’t mean it won’t address more serious issues about the business.
“We really wanted to talk about the fact that they’re trying to get more women into working in games, but that it’s still a process that is happening,” series co-creator and writer Megan Ganz told Variety on Wednesday at the “Mythic Quest” premiere in Hollywood. “Women are still the minority in this industry so we tried to take a lighthearted look, but definitely an honest look at that and show those sorts of conflicts.”
Co-creator and star of the series Rob McElhenney also acknowledged the cultural diversity in gaming. “The world of gaming right now from a cultural perspective is massive,” McElhenney said. “It really is transcending through so many different cultures globally and it...
