- (on filming the movie 'The Square') I couldn't have asked to work with better people, it was just a joy.
- (on filming 'The Square') I think this was very much a "family project" and in that sense it was beautiful to be a part of.
- (on working on big budget films like 'The Pacific') In terms of budget [for The Pacific] it is. You'd open you're 1930s original wallet and there would be original lace gloves, and original diaries with entries from the character. I mean the detail was just mind blowing, and just seeing how the big budget American productions work - it was amazing. And I was very lucky not to have left our shores to work on a big American production. Because I know, if I was in America, I could be pouring beers in a dirty jazz bar waiting years to get my foot in the door on a HBO series...
- (on her work in 'Rush') Rush is the consistent long-running job that I am learning so much from.
- John Edwards, the producer on Rush is what attracted me to the script. I have admired him for so long and he is incredibly passionate, insightful and so I wanted to jump on board.
- It's great to be here (in Melbourne). It's so friendly. And there are some great bars here. I've seen a few of those.
- I wanted to find the through-line of her mannerisms and where her nervous system lies. Diane is innately Diane. (Playing her) was such a beautiful lesson for me in terms of just being brave and bold with showing who you are. It wasn't so much mimicking her as understanding the spirit of who she is because it comes through in all her work. (On playing Young Ruth to Diane Keaton's Ruth)
- I'm incredibly grateful that we got to film this in Mississippi. I read a William Faulkner quote while I there that still mesmerizes me... "To understand the world, you must first understand a place like Mississippi."
- I'm extremely interested in and excited by the process of finding a character through exploring their physical life. I asked myself about where her pain, mentally and physically sat in her body, about how she carried herself in the world. (On playing an addict in Battlecreek)
