Born in the countryside of the Province of Quebec, running away from home at the age of 4 and riding a Honda Mini-Trail at 8, Isabelle Proulx was meant to live an engaging and adventurous life! Driven by a thirst for freedom to nurture her curiosity and creativity, she believes in human encounters and authentic communication in order to maximize the success of any projects.
Over the past 20 years, Isabelle has worn many hats in the world of theatre, television, radio, film, touring shows and more. Early on she developed a keen interest for TV, cinema, music and earned degrees in literature, acting and media. Highlights of her education and professional experiences include going to the School of Visual Arts in New York City to learn more about filmmaking and worked in advertising, documentary films and movies for Canadian and international productions. She also joined the equestrian show Cavalia and toured parts of North America and Europe as a logistics coordinator.
On a different note, she worked at NAPA Auto Parts as a computer installer & trainer, which made her travel extensively across Canada for 5 years. Avid outdoors woman and traveler, she drove most of the USA and Canada, experienced winter camping and cross-country skiing on Baffin Island, solo tramping in New Zealand, Gwaii Haanas, Greece, Sicily, Hawaii and the list is not over yet!
With an eclectic background and a 360-degree perspective, Isabelle has developed a unique combination of field experience and skills. Based in Montreal, Isabelle focused in the recent years on learning more about stage presence, leadership and storytelling.
