Bert Trautmann was born on 22 October 1923 in Bremen, Germany. He was married to Marlis, Margaret Friar and Ursula Van der Heyde. He died on 19 July 2013 in La Llosa, Valencia, Spain.
Goalkeeper with English football team Manchester City. He became a
footballer for England when captured as a POW during the Second World
War, and continued to play there professionally for another 20 years.
In 1956 he completed an FA Cup final game despite having broken his
neck!
